Gabriel Harmsen (1995) is a musician and composer from Utrecht, the Netherlands. His work involves music for solo acoustic guitar, compositions for larger ensembles and interdisciplinary projects with visual art and poetry. Even though the style and form varies, the works all together form one quest for a sincere reflection of personal concepts and ideas. Reoccurring aspects in this quest are the use of sound-samples, concepts concerning global long-term processes, the search for ‘the essence’ and the influence of minimal music.
