Wandering around the Arctic, zerrissen era finds his home on the remote and isolated Baffin Island.  As an indie multi-instrumentalist, zerrissen era crafts eclectic songs in the harsh Arctic environment.  Inspiration abounds in this outback where temperatures seldom rise above zero degrees.  There are no trees; just wide open spaces of tundra, sky and sea.  It is either day or night with nothing in between.  Northern Lights or Midnight Sun.

It is no wonder that zerrissen era’s music is gaining recognition globally as exotic, untamed and unique.  With compelling lyrics, pointed melodies and pensive arrangements, listeners have referred to his music as ‘genius music’.  Lyrical matter delves into the human experience from a reclusive and removed perspective that can only be found in the wild.  Clarity is found in this isolated context; as is purity of position.  

Production resources are scarce in the Arctic and the air is thin; all of which contribute to the elemental and charming tone of zerrissen era music.

Technology of Silence is a Russian ambient / industrial / experimental project, existing since 2004. Founder of this project is Denis Romanov, who unites the incompatible opposites silence and music and makes it a whole, while taking a focus on the world that surrounds us and the events that take place in it, watching it from different points of view. The music of TOS is atmospheric, cinematic, melancholic and creates a certain mood. It is a fusion of ambient, industrial, IDM, minimal techno, although the band isn’t concentrating on a particular style. Environmental problems and man-made disasters are the basic themes, which draw a red line through the back-catalogue of Technology of Silence. The centre of attention in the stories of the band is a post-apocalyptic city, described as ruins of a high-tech-civilization, corrupted by mankind, and a place full of human recollections, emotions and feelings. The main context of the stories is the idea of survival in a lonely and hostile world and finding himself in life.

DJ J-Damm is a  Rough Tempo Resident, DJ/producer and lover of Drum and Bass all sorts of Drum and Bass but as a DJ he plays Jump Up Liquid Neuro. J-Damm runs the Friday Night JUmped Up  Takeover on Rough Tempo 9 till 3 every Friday, with plenty of special Guest DJs and MCs.
