Thorson is the last name and moniker of Los Angeles musician/composer/producer/polymath Thomas Thorson.  

Thorson cut his teeth composing in the aether of experimental music, only to eventually return the terra firma of classic melodies and perfectly crafted pop song structures.  The songs he plucks from the aether echo with eeriness and strange emotion, while also being grounded in pounding and danceable immediacy.  This is transcendent songwriting in the tradition of Bowie, Reznor, or Eno, filtered through an utterly futuristic array of synthesized and reprocessed textures, studdering analog drum machines, and pyrotechnic sound-design.  The result is a refreshing blend of sonic experimentation anchored by exhilarating hooks and body-driving beats.   

When not working solo, Thorson writes and performs in DeadXLife (debut LP coming soon) and in Draemings (having just produced the new DRAEMINGS EP and recent singles, out now on PLAG Records) as well as writing and producing for other acts.
