Love / War

On November 18 of 2020, Vladivostok was hit by a Blizzard. I was studying that day. I had the plan to record a video podcast with my tutor at the time, Dmitry Morozov (vtol). The studio was set up and people were waiting for us. The producer called and said there is no electricity, and we can't make it today. So I decided to go home. The weather was brutal. The road usually takes me 10 minutes take almost half an hour. I was constantly falling. I was wet, cold, and bruised from falling on the ice. The wind was insane. 
When I was home, I was shaking from adrenaline and was grateful I survived. The next morning I woke up from crackling noises. I open up the shades and I saw massive branches fall from the trees one by one. The ice on the branches was too heavy. Every piece of grass becomes an ice obelisk. As terrifying the experience was, as beautiful as it looks after it was over.

Blizzard

I think part of being mature is truly feeling the flow of time and realizing how short and fragile life can be. When you see people around you die, or get ill, or even when you yourself are attacked – like when strangers shot rockets at you – it makes you question your own beliefs but also be grateful for what you have.

This serves as a reminder for myself to be bold, brave, and strong. It's a call not to waste time and to cherish what life has to offer.

Maturity

After all the celebrations due to our 50th release, what better way to come back than with Ozcän Saraç.
This artist who has been on our radar for some time due to his excellent releases on Kaer'Uiks, Superpang or Tokinogake presents us a selection of tracks which in my opinion are connected to each other.

Throughout the listening of this album you will appreciate how the palette of sounds that Özcan plays with is present in almost all if not all the compositions, this conceptual form of sound treatment creates a link between the listener and the artist as it requires an active listening to understand the journey that Özcan is inviting us to.

One of the impressions I had after the different listens I have had of the album is that if you want to get the same sensations you have to repeat the journey again.
Once you get on board it's hard to get out of that enveloping sound that all the tracks are endowed with, it becomes addictive honestly.

A great album to enjoy long walks, or long trips will also be very appreciated for audiophiles, the sound treatment is excellent.
