Born and raised in Stonington, Connecticut, Jeff was instilled with a love of music at an early age. Marc Cohn’s self-titled album and Van Morrison’s “Greatest Hits” in Dad’s truck…the Blues Brothers 2000 Soundtrack and Springsteen’s “Nebraska” in the living room…

Jeff’s musical style, an eclectic blend of folk and rock influences, is grounded in the songwriting of Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Cat Stevens, and The Beatles.

In recent years, writing and performing music has presented Jeff with meaningful opportunities for personal and artistic growth. He’s ever-excited to experience what the next show, the next collaboration, and the next recording session have in store; moreover, he’s excited to share these experiences with friends, family, and listeners. *** Jeff Lewis has performed throughout southern New England and the tri-state area alongside talented musicians: Kyle Behnken (of RBNX), Ben Freiert, Gray Hallberg (of Wooly Mammoth), Brian Merritt & Dave Schena. He has recorded with: Brad Bensko (of Bearded Cat Production), Kyle Guertin, Kathleen Parks (of Twisted Pine), and Celeste Krishna.

Artey is a lifelong supporter of his hometown football team Wolverhampton Wanderers and when not watching their every move, he is an accomplished indie folk singer/songwriter. In the mid 70’s he was touring the UK as well as a summer tour of France and Spain in a Gospel Folk Group based in his beloved Black Country in the West Midlands. He has returned to solo performances after a brief departure during Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, collaborating to form a duo of folk singers with Laura Savina up until mid 2022. Artey has been recording and producing albums since his late teens, Singing and playing all things folk he has added a whole new catalogue of new and exciting originals. A talented musician, influenced after a long visit to the French home of his guitar hero Pierre BenSusan he is these days playing a distinctive style of finger picking both 12 and 6 string guitars and banjo.  He released a debut solo album, The Dream of a Dream in 2019, followed up by a collaboration album with lyricist Barbara Glasson called Stories to Tell in 2020. A further album with Barbara called Dandelion Days has been finalised and released “Dandelion Days” in 2023

In December 2022 he won an international climate songwriter competition. This resulted in a whole days recording in the prestigious Bert Jansch Studio and a seven song recording of Artey’s latest originals.
