Up and coming Melbourne producer Sam Hopgood’s music blurs the boundaries between melody, groove and sound design, weaving through genres, creating spellbinding and intricate worlds for the listener. Sam’s debut release on Wide Angle Recordings, ‘Lucidity’, peaked at #22 in Beatport’s Progressive House releases chart and was featured in the sets of progressive heavyweights such as Soul Button, Darin Epsilon, Madloch, Ruben De Ronde, Praveen Achary and SASCH BBC. Followed by another stellar release on Brain Food Records titled Setunga, Sam hit #38 on Beatport and the Joe Miller remix was charted by Guy J in January, 2019. Sam's next release, the Drifting EP on Lauter Unfug, earned itself a big banner on Beatport's Progressive House page and climbed to #18 in the Progressive House releases chart. 2020 is shaping up to be a huge year for Sam with a string of releases on Particles, Natura Viva Music, Leisure Music Productions, Polyptych Limited as well as a huge EP on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden. Add to that a couple of edgy remixes on Brain Food Recordings and it’s looking like a breakout year for this rising talent in the underground world of electronic music.

James Beetham has been pursuing a unique blend of progressive house,
breaks and techno as a DJ, producer/engineer, radio host, and label-owner.
James' presence in the progressive electronic music scene is felt far & wide - whether it be through his monthly radio show Friction on the internationally renowned Proton Radio, or through his globally recognised progressive house label Late Night Music. With a lifelong love of progressive electronic music underpinning everything he does, James’ ability to connect with an audience has seen him perform to dancefloors across Australia, championing his sound and skills at iconic festivals, clubs, and warehouse parties.
            James’ studio original productions and remixes have received widespread support from industry giants such as Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Jamie Stevens, Subandrio, Kasey Taylor, Nicholas
Rada, Praveen Archary, Sonic Union, Maceo Plex and more - while artists such as Dmitry Molosh, Golan Zocher, Robert Babicz, Ewan Rill, and Loco & Jam have remixed his work.
           His ear for sound sees James working professionally as an engineer at his own 4Sound studio - while also working out one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most well-regarded audio workshops - JTB
Deluxe Mastering Facility - helping artists to perfect their mix and achieve their musical vision in the studio. In 2022, James released his second EP ‘Silicon’ on Late Night Music, with the remixes reaching
industry spotlight being played by Guy Mantzur during a b2b set with Guy J at Loveland Amsterdam Festival, plus a radio play on Hernan Cattaneo’s Resident Episode #597 - While in 2021 his
collaboration ‘Zenticle’ with fellow Melbourne artist Liam Sieker saw huge support from industry and music fans around the world.

Chris Cargo started his production career in the late 1990s, and is best known for his Progressive, Deep and Melodic House vibes. Indeed, Chris has almost 200 productions to his name, on labels such as Automatic Records, The Soundgarden, Plattenbank, Armada Music, Kosmo, Mango Alley, Movement, and his own label – If You Wait - amongst others. His music has been showcased by DJ giants including  John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, Nick Warren, Laurent Garnier, and Carl Cox.

On the DJ circuit, Chris has toured around the world, from Shangai to Zurich, Amsterdam, Moscow, Kuala Lampur and Paris.

Hello Everyone and welcome onboard the PFG Progcast! Taking you around the world of exclusive progressive beats, our travels take us to Spain. We have a bona-fide legend for you this week. Let's go with D-FORMATION!

Dimas Carbajo, the owner and main man of BEATFREAK GROUP, a business alliance which is proud to include, amongst others, the first Spanish record label of underground electronic music, BEATFREAK RECORDINGS. It has been conveying this style of music to the world since 1997.

With a 25 year career path, both in DJ booths and music studios in his role as a Producer, D-FORMATION is one of the most respected electronic music artists in the world. Proof of that is his album 'MADRID' for YOSHITOSHI,  which was launched on one of the most prestigious compilation series of our scene, and the only Spanish artist featured in it so far.

When he was barely 17 years old, Dimas was awarded the first prize of the Spanish DMC DJ championship, not once, but twice. From that time onwards his work was indefatigable not only as a megamixer for numerous Spanish multinational music companies, but also travelling around the entire country with his DMC gigs.

When he was only 23 one of his greatest projects came to plan, founding his first label MD RECORDS. It revolutionised the then electronic music market and positioned itself as the best Spanish label with the best electronic music for many years.

Shortly after, another project materialised.  RESOLUTE DISTRIBUTION, which is one of the biggest vinyl distribution companies in Spain, this made the Spanish electronic music become known all around the world.

From that moment D-FORMATION was born and his rise as a DJ and producer was and continues to be unstoppable. Achieving and securing the recognition and support of the great majority of our underground scene, all the way from Tech and Progressive House to Trance.

Numerous prizes as a DJ and producer granted by the industry vouch for all those years of his professional career, most noteworthy his #39 position in the Top 100 DJs of the prestigious DJMAG magazine, the highest ranking that a Spanish DJ has ever achieved.

Artists such as Tiësto, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Deep Dish play his music. Labels like Sony Music, Virgin Records, EMI, Beatfreak, Suara, Yoshitoshi, Movement Recordings, Nervous, and Twisted have all signed his work. 

His work has been remixed by names like D-Nox & Beckers, My Favorite Robot, Ruede Hagelstein, Victor Calderone, & Marc De Pulse. This combination has given Dimas an almost non stop yearly schedule playing at the worlds biggest and best clubs and festivals around the globe, with DJs like Marco Carola, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Loco Dice, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Dubfire and countless more.
