I'm an experienced sound engineer who has been involved in both live and studio projects upon graduating from Limerick Institute of Technology with a B.Sc in Music Production.  Prior to commencing work as an engineer I played several instruments , including piano and clarinet. I eventually found the guitar and that is my primary instrument today. Initially my focus was on classical guitar but I have since branched out into a broad spectrum of genres and would consider that there aren't really any bad genres , just unmusical, arrhythmic or unimaginative deliveries of styles.

Living in Toronto now and am always on the look-out for new projects to work on.

Gaining industry recognition and support from the likes of Teo Moss, TyDi, Arty, John Gibbons and Paul Webster, Kildare based producer/dj Gary Mahon - aka Garbo - is set to become a household name in the EDM industry focusing mainly in electro house.

Incorporating various genres of music throughout his life, Garbo built his foundation for music and producing while playing in several bands before really focusing the last 2-3 years on EDM. Garbo also completed a 4 year honors degree in music production at university In Limerick .

Garbo’s main influences include Lazy Rich, Porter Robinson, Pryda, Prodigy, SVD, Zedd, Hardwell, Mikkas, Bassjackers and Teo Moss.

From his bedroom studio, Garbo has signed numerous tracks to major record labels worldwide including Straight Up!, Big Alliance Records, Royal Fetish Recordings, Ocean Drive Records, Future Shock Records and Club Educate.

Garbo has amassed a wealth of tracks and remixes under his belt and entered the top 100 in Track it Down’s hard dance category on two occasions, with his mesmerizing collaboration track Waking Goliath, and also his remix of Lukas P’s – The Lost Sound.

As one of Club Educate's signees, Garbo has done guest mixes on John Gibbons' radio show Club Educate on Spin 1038.

Looking to take his bass driven heavy tracks into the live sphere, Garbo’s energetic and intoxicating style will become a common experience for club goers and dj’s worldwide.
