I made this bootleg for the Reverze Flashback 2022 but wasn't satisfied with the result so I kept working on the track. I tried everything but it just didn't work. I wanted to throw it away but then I dreamed about Reinier Zonneveld. He told me to add a TECHNO kick. So I did.... et voila. Much better. Thx Reinier #karrenmaar

Quelles stratégies développent les personnes blanches pour ne pas se confronter au racisme ? Comment apprend-on à ignorer ce qui crève les yeux ? Que camouflent les grandes déclarations de fraternité : « On est tous pareils », « Je ne fais jamais attention à la couleur » ou « Les races n’existent pas » ? Ne pas savoir est-il un privilège ?

Pour désigner cette tendance collective à l’aveuglement, le philosophe américain Charles Mills, auteur du Contrat racial, a créé la notion « d’ignorance blanche ». La sociologue Solène Brun raconte ici comment cette ignorance s’est patiemment fabriquée, transmise, instituée au fil des siècles : Christophe Colomb et ses « découvertes », les philosophes des Lumières et leurs angles morts, le contrat racial caché sous notre sacro-saint contrat social.  L’historienne Carole Reynaud Paligot nous plonge dans les archives du Muséum d’histoire naturelle où s’est élaboré le racisme scientifique, l’anthropométrie coloniale et la craniologie de Paul Broca. Un grand défrichage historique qui fait apparaître peu à peu l’ignorance blanche comme un apprentissage, un système où se mêlent déni, dissonance cognitive, fausses croyances et bons sentiments pour maintenir l’ordre établi et les privilèges.
