Will Smith, also known by his stage name Rapshur, is a singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, comedian, and actor. He was born and raised in Kansas City, MO and now resides just outside Atlanta in Marietta, GA with his wife Jennifer. His mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through hard hitting melodic beats and to reach those who are blind to the grace and love of Christ. 
Rapshur released his first album for the kingdom of God on February 26th, 2013. The album is entitled “Rapshur: Diary Of A Man Renewed” and is available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, Spotify, etc. Rapshur’s lyrics are Holy Spirit led and glorifying to the compassion, love, grace, and forgiveness of God. If you don’t have the album, it is a must have; as it displays transparency and the transforming power of Christ in one’s life. He will also be appearing in a movie set to release this Fall called “Kung Fu, Old Skool, and Tyrone.” 
Rapshur grew up with his father, mother, and older sister. At the age of 9, he gave his life to Christ at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, but strayed away a few years later to enjoy the pleasures of the world around him. He grew up in the “hood” during a time when gang violence and gangsta rap were popular. The music and environment around him would soon shape his perspective about life and relationships. It was not uncommon to go to sleep every night to the sound of gunshots or listening to the latest E-40, Master P, UGK, Mac Dre, Mac Mall, or Eightball & MJG cassette tape. These were a few of his musical influences. He also loved the smooth sounds of R&B artists such as Jodeci, R. Kelly, Keith Sweat, Men At Large, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, BBD, etc. 

Rapshur received a partial football scholarship to attend Graceland University in Lamoni, IA in 1997. He would soon realize that music was his passion as he would write songs instead of completing his assignments. He would leave college after one semester to pursue this dream with his friends in Kansas City. He also began doing stand-up comedy at the age of 19. He appeared on the 2nd season of BET’s Coming to the Stage at the age of 25. Will Smith would go on to open shows for Lil JJ, Honest John, Michael Blackson, Joe Torry, Tyler, and Kevin Hart at a local comedy spot in KC. He later moved to Atlanta in December of 2007. The summer 0f 2008, he was invited to Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church by a friend for Wednesday bible study. The message he heard pricked his heart and began to convict him of his promiscuous lifestyle. He would then rededicate his life to God and Christ Jesus on December 21, 2008 at Destiny and become a member. Rapshur has since been living his life for Christ and spreading the Gospel in word and deed. He would also marry Jennifer Ross on 11/12/2011 after entering into a relationship with her in December of 2009.
Rapshur’s album has received great reviews due to his willingness to be open with his struggles and transgressions. His love for Christ is genuine and real. He hopes to one day manage and produce artists who seek to bring glory and honor to God. He plans on releasing another album in 2014 which he is currently working on. If you’re seeking God in your life, be sure to find a good church home, study the Word, pray for wisdom and understanding, and listen to “Rapshur: Diary Of A Man Renewed.”
