Guns N' Roses - It's So Easy

This was a demo I made in March 2011 to see what my old Westfield SG sounded like, with the intention of selling it. I never sold it, it held too much sentimental value to me, but here is the track which I've rediscovered several months later. There is minimal production and mixing, but I think it sounds alright. A few sloppy parts can be heard, but it was literally first take. I worked all the parts out by ear, online tabs are more than often mis-leading.
Set up:
Westfield SG (cheap Gibson replica)
Marshall JCM 900 Dual Reverb 100watt 2x12

Recorded using an AKG C1000S condenser microphone through an M-Audio Fast Track into Logic Pro 8 on a Macbook Pro. The mic was positioned at right angles to and 2 1/2" from the amp grille, just off-centre of the speaker. The amp was set to Channel 2 for both parts with the volume around 3 and gain at 6 for the rhythm and 8 for the lead parts. I used 009 - 046 gauge Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys.
