Cravat wielding, Italian expatriate Emile Bernard is a Berlin-based confessional singer-songwriter and producer. A brassy tenor croon reminiscent of such tormented timbres as Midlake’s Tim Smith, and former Czars frontman John Grant, delivers an eclectic milieu of romantic cerebral pop fused with post-Britpop indie styling. With a repertoire that spans sun-drenched indie to melancholic synth-laden balladry, Emile Bernard creates elegant arrangements steeped in forward-thinking pop sensibility. 
Propelled by a stream of local London shows, an appearance at Latitude 2015, and support slots with folk-rockers Dry the River on their European Tour, Bernard has been building a firm platform for his next release. His previous singles received significant radio support from the likes of Tom Robinson (BBC6), Janice Long (BBC2), John Kennedy (Radio X), and Amazing Radio. Notably, self-released single, City Of, not only received extensive airplay, but also caught the attention of independent music bloggers: “single City Of is a delightfully opulent piece of indie balladry that trembles and quivers under the weight of it’s own foppishness” (SOS music, 2014), “latest single City Of displays the vastly dynamic talents he possesses as cascading percussion laps over ambitious vocals, and glistening guitars” (Listen With Monger, 2014).
