The Alchemist is one of Australia's pioneering psychedelic DJs. With a career spanning over 18 years, he has played it all. Starting in the early 90s, and before the era of full on and progressive, he was a regular performer in the Tasmanian bush dropping peaktime and morning psytrance at the many parties of the era alongside names such as Ray Castle, Nick Taylor and Andrew Till, and international artists Cosmosis.

In 1997, whilst most psy DJs were playing MD or DAT, he was picked up to sling vinyl at the legendary Trance Buddha and Global Chillage Coffeeshop in Amsterdam, sharing the bill with names such as Tsuyoshi Suzuki.

Shortly after relocating to Brisbane in 2008, he was invited to don the fractal party pants once again and play an intimate oldschool psy set for the annual Fairy's Ball in SE Qld. 

From 1998-2010, The Alchemist switched styles and was heavily involved with the east coast Australian drum n bass scene under the name of DJ Model T. With an interest on  the techy side of the spectrum, he has also dabbled in minimal techno, playing at Symbiotic Harmony in Tasmania.

Currently he is learning how to write music at the Electronic Music Academy in Melbourne, being taught by Chromatone (Nano Records) the secrets of writing progressive and psytrance.

Having hung up the dusty spurs and released the horse with no name to chew buttercups in the fractal meadows for the last decade or more, The Alchemist is here to ride again. Giddy up!
