After countless hours spent chopping up vinyl, laying down basslines, tweaking synthesizers and banging on drum pads I'm proud to present "I'm Gone". This album aims to bring back the soulful sounds of the past while maintaining a bass-heavy modern feel. I'm especially happy with two tracks on the album which feature my friend Willdabeast (of Snug Harbour and Michal Menert Big Band). Will laid down some soulful horns, flute and a few other instruments to take my sample-based beats to the next level. My goal with “No Love” was to take elements of 90’s Hip Hop and R&B and place them within the context of my “Future Ghetto” style. I chose to sample TLC because “No Scrubs” is a true staple of 90’s R&B culture, and I wanted to see how vocal elements from the classic could convey a different vibe when paired with deeper instrumentation. I think the marriage between UK House style basses, trap percussion and TLC’s vocals offers an incredibly unique, novel and emotional take on R&B -  I hope my fans dig this one!
