Depending isn't weakness...
it's recognizing the web: people, times, encounters, silences, even that which you don't control.
Music only exists because:
* someone built the instrument,
* someone taught how to listen,
* someone was there to feel.
You depend as everyone else depends —
and, at the same time, someone depends on your note to complete the harmony.
Humility doesn't diminish.
It refines.

ATANAS is a Bulgarian-born DJ and producer rooted in tech house and minimal, known for hypnotic grooves and stripped-back rhythms crafted for late-night dance floors. Raised in Plovdiv and musically shaped in Washington, D.C., his early sets earned a reputation for deep, focused storytelling behind the decks.
In 2012, ATANAS made his production debut alongside DJ Lion with a remix of “It’s Like That” by Zenbi & Cyberx, released on Oscar L’s Shinshy Records. The track reached #13 on Traxsource and gained support from major names like Mark Knight, Paco Osuna, Oscar L, and Siwell.
After stepping away in 2013 to focus on fatherhood, ATANAS returned in 2025—Toolroom Academy certified and creatively re-energized. During his comeback, he connected with legendary sound engineer Pete Gleadall (Madonna, Bowie, Carl Cox), who genuinely liked a track ATANAS was crafting during the course and agreed to mix and master it himself.
June 2025 saw the launch of his own imprint, No Plan B Records, with the release of "The DJ List". The momentum continued into July with "Let's Do This" dropping on Saman Records, and his latest track "Mamasita" is currently available for pre-order on Beatport, slated for release in October 2025. Currently showcasing the power of music to his own children, literally living a dream in LONDON UK!
