I managed to get a course on Udemy to evaluate called "Video Game Music: The Complete Composer's Guide". As I work my way through the course, I'll be uploading little snippets of the music I make. This first track is in the style of the Atari. The Atari only had 2 channels so I've used one for the bass line and one for melody. Who needs sound fx anyway? I used Super Audio Cart to create the authentic sounds.

For today's track, I decided to bust out the e-drum kit and play a 6/8 groove for the compound meter challenge. For some reason, this kind of beat always drives me towards eastern-sounding music, so I created a track that might play before you fight the boss of the Sand Palace. Enjoy!

Home Orchestral Remix

This track is an exploration of how granular synthesis, amongst other secondary processes, can be used to warp and distort what could usually be considered a "pure" sound - in this particular case, wind chimes from my childhood.
