This one isn't complete. I usually try to get all of my weekly track uploads to a point where there is a clear progression from start to finish even if it's not in a fully realized and final song form, but this one is one where I had to let it go a bit more. There are some decent ideas in there I think, but I plan to refine them more.

All that being said, I'm happy with what I have so far. It's much more upbeat than most of my tracks. The main melody was written by Cruel Valentine. I worked a good bit on filling out other parts and trying to see where the song could go and I think I'm headed in the right direction. Enjoy!

 This track is heavy on the soul samples, but it's a little manic like our good friend Lucky here; paranoid we're going for his gold. And why shouldn't he be?

Full of Flavor

This track reminded me a little bit of Grindin' by Clipse mainly just for the big kick drums and the little blippy synth sound. It consists of a number of different rain and thunder samples as well as other instruments imitating sounds of water droplets. 

The thumbnail image is a painting by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis from 1909. I really liked the 3D effect of the lightning bolts and the color scheme.

The most difficult thing about the track was managing the bass. I've got a big kick drum playing along with a drum break, a deep sub-bass, and--in certain parts--the rumble of thunder. I had to high pass the thunder, the drum break, and kick at different frequencies to get them to all fit. I also side-chained the bass elements against each other in some unconventional ways. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

My World

I did this commission for burlesque performer, Boobs Radley, for a sing-and-strip performance of Lindsey Buckingham's "Go Insane". This is a one-of-a-kind cover, based off of Lindsey's solo acoustic live version of the song, but taken in a distinctly bluesier, more sultry direction at the request of none other than Boobs Radley herself! Since this is to be a backing track for a live performance, there's no vocals on it, so you'll have to use your imagination for now. I can't wait to see what she does with this!
