DJ Richie Rich has earned the name "South Bronx Most Wanted DJ". So what is it that makes him such a hot commodity that promoters will fly him half way around the world for him to play records....or should I say perform. I played from New York straight down to Miami. There are few DJ's that can produce the energy that DJ Richie Rich does in the club. When he is at work you can feel the intensity and passion he has for the music. As he switches from record to record the crowd feeds off his energy. He amps the crowd by hollering into the mic, then throws on an even hotter record. DJ Rich record selection, energy and attitude truly defines him as an artist. To no surprise, DJ Richie Rich has played for clubs & lounges such as Club X, Rumba, X-bar, Sofa Lounge, Mi Gente Cafe, Mangos, Al's Mr. Wedge, Coral Room, Speed, Pacha Nyc, Blue Villa, Flow, Sound Factory, and many more.Before DJ Richie Rich was selling out clubs around the five boroughs, he was Ricardo Rolon, a Puerto Rican kid from Bronx. At age 16, Rich was introduced to the turntables and soon after bought his first set of Techniques 1200's. In 1994 Rich debuted his first mixtape , simply entitle "DJ Richie Rich Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae Mixes". What was soon to follow was no simple endeavor. Rich began rocking out the bars, lounges, and after hour spots every month and quickly made a name for himself. Soon after, Rich broke into the club scene and began playing at Club Millennium in the Bronx .
