The Deep Series imprint returns this September with its sixth release, a split EP coming from Nekes & George P., including Sascha Dive & Skipson remixes.
The Deep Series imprint was launched in 2010 by George P. and Kaitow out of Berlin, Germany, and has since unveiled material from the likes of Ekkohaus, Santos Reisak and Housewax’s Kammerton. Here the label offers up a split release from label co-founder George P. and Oslo’s Nekes, the pair have known each other for over twenty-five years now, so the aptly named ‘Family’ EP has been a long time coming.
Opening the release is the original mix of ‘Rain’, a mood-driven, percussive led composition employing hypnotic atmospherics and processed vocal snippets to form texture, while the organic drums sounds intricately evolve and unfold over the tracks six and half a minutes to create a raw and understated cut. Following we see Sascha Dive step up to remix ‘Rain’ with his ‘Northern Lights Remix’, as always from Dive we’re treated to sheer quality as he remoulds the original number into a dynamic, ever-blossoming record led by bumpy rhythms, resonant synth sweeps and a general dubbed-out, psychedelic feel.
On the flip side Nekes offers up ‘On The Road’, the German producer opts for ethereal, analogue pads here, while the sparse, yet punchy percussive elements smoothly carry the groove to keep you locked in for the duration. Then the package is rounded off with Skipson’s ‘Inspectah Nek’ take on ‘On The Road’, taking his typically raw production approach Skipson shapes the cut up with dusty drum sounds, gritty samples and subtle extractions from the original track, closing the package on a classy tip.

First teased out in his bumpin' Boiler Room set back in April, six months later we finally had the full track in our hands - and naturally couldn't resist a Debut. The title track off the "Busy Block EP", forthcoming on the burgeoning Audio Culture imprint, is a hefty slab of peak-time house. Severn Beach rides the familial chord progression through a backdrop of 90s IDM signifiers, dipping out momentarily before returning double strength. Get familiar - it'll be steamrolling you on a dancefloor soon.

Bruce's productions really struck a chord from their very first radio plays. With a debut release on Livity Sound off-shoot Dnous Ytivil, and now this downright incredible 12", he's definitely one to keep an eye on in the future.

Fingers crossed for more Hessle records over the next year, but to be honest.. we don't mind waiting when they're this good.

TMB are following up a summer of hedonistic exploits with the debut release from their new imprint, Cuttin Headz. “Do That Two (Yes Baby)” has that familiar whiff of techno-grounded house that the sibling pair are notorious for. We’re talking good old fidgety leg-shaker value with this, their limited edition EP due November 10.
 
It follows May’s announcement of Tuskegee – a joint label with Seth Troxler – bringing Latin/Afro-American inspired, vinyl-only releases to your cochleae.

The Martinez Brothers 'Do That Two (Yes Baby)' - Boiler Room Debuts

First release comes from KIM, a collaboration of two Ukrainian musicians: @komponente and Dimitry Zharkikh. Their objective is to write music of the highest quality in search of their own new unique sound via experiments with live instruments. They are also known as excellent vinyl only DJs, participants of many festivals and events in Ukraine and beyond. KIM's sets are similar to their productions with their own story and unique atmosphere.

The original track boasts dub lines with large grooves inspired by the launch of the first spaceship in the world. The Vostok 1 was a Soviet Vostok Program spacecraft that served with the Soviet Space Agency in the mid-20th century. In 1961, Vostok 1 carried the first Human into space, concluding with a single successful orbit of Earth. Patrick Klein's version is a magnificent dancefloor friendly groover that would truly appeal to the fans of minimal house. 
Voigtman's remix carries on deep dub sounds from the original track: mysterious melody accompanies intense drum machine and heavy bassline. Leo Pol's interpretation is performed using analog instruments with hypnotic shades of deep house. The artwork for the EP is inspired by Ukrainian folklore influences.

Manchester based Trevino will return to Klockworks with a new record on the 25th of May following his first successful release on the imprint back in 2012.

Trevino, a constant purveyor of smooth, skillfully constructed tracks, continues to teeter on the boundary between house and techno feeding from various influences and aliases he is able to deliver a three track EP to showcase his ability to string together diverse atmospheres and emotions. With deep, resonating basslines, Trevino is able to find a timeless sound letting the body move freely through ethereal synths and delicate strings. Each track illicitly implies that the confines of what we once knew of as genres are now insignificant, Trevino once again has found a comfortable fit into the niche of Klockworks with sounds that capture the essence of music’s progression in this modern day.

Swiss born, Formentera based dj/producer Ivan Pezzini aka MASSIVAN is back on the dancefloor with a boom (and the lovely vocals of singer BEA LUNA on the title track).
After numerous prestigeous compilation entries (a.o. HOTEL COSTES, BUDDHA BAR) and his latest album release „Family With 3 Hearts“ (just recently out on PSCHENT) being more on the smoother side of things, MASSIVAN now re-introduces his impeccable uptempo production capability again. 
As the first in a string of special dj-friendly EP & single releases through his own PMUSICA imprint, the mystical sounds of „December“ first and foremost make a clear statement: dance, dance, dance... but with class & style please. 
Massivan comes full circle with this kind of darker sound – although being a studied musician with „classical“ skills, he never was a stranger to all things house, trance & techno... and the deep space in between. In fact, the man travelled the globe as a club dj sporting those genres more than a decade ago already.
Meanwhile, there is more where this came from. More clubby bangers like these, courtesy of Mr. MASSIVAN – as well as, to be introduced soon, the fresh sounds of a man they call OLSON. Always including powerful remix work and basically everything you need to properly set the house on fire. Swoosh!
