Cheray "SovahReign" James , seemingly born an arsenal of words, would later find out that words, melody,and rhythm were all tools given to her to announce the perspective of Yahweh, The Most High God through creative forms.

For many years, SovahReign, seemingly stumbled into the easy use of words, rather it was writing simple poems and short stories or penning songs that were almost soundscapes of her childhood environment.

All the while, she did not know that God was cultivating a skill in her.

Her lyrical ability advanced in a regular small gathering of musical prophets.

It was not until the marrying of her gifts and skills with God's capturing of her heart, did she realize that this wasn't just for hobby or personal use. It now became a weighty responsibility.

In that time, SovahReign, realize that she was purposed to bring God's mind to real world issues through the medium of music and poetry.

Although much of SovahReign's music is filtered through a very spiritual worldview, she does not classify herself as a gospel artist. If you need a label, she is a New Covenant Activist & Artist.

SovahReign's style is what you get when you mix a prophetic voice, an activist, and a lyricist that can sing with the blood of the New Covenant given by God.
