This is my sandbox. I'm putting up a lot of process demo work here. When recording, I like to capture a lot of first takes and improvisation to get the vibe of the song. This means lots of flawed ideas are in the mix. I can make better editing decisions when I know something is already in a public space. I also just want to keep posting stuff to get it out of my head.

Sydney born and based singer/song writer Nathan Cole has been playing guitar for 20 years, singing for 14 years and has been performing with a variety of professional musicians at various venues throughout Sydney, NSW and abroad.

After a 2014 residency at Circus Bar Ios Greece playing along side former band mate Will Teague, Nathan is back home in Sydney  working on various music projects such as producing new original songs and performing cover songs & originals at shows around town.

Nathan's most recent track release "Alligator River" was a co write with fiance' Tash Konert during their road trip up through the middle of Australia and in to the Northern Territory in 2015. The track made the top 5 rock songs in the Songs Alive 2016 Song Comp &  also recieved airplay on abc Darwin radio.
 
Aside from producing music for familiar genre's such as rock, pop & Singer Song Writer, Nathan also enjoys branching out in to unfamiliar territory and recently produced a punk rock style track for fellow musician Paul Meehan and he's also been experimenting with EDM.

i record too many on my phone's audio recorder. then in the future i might actually
come back listen write down my idea of what the chords could be hopefully find a piece of paper with the origin of lyrics trudge upstairs force myself to relearn my own song open up a hand me down very old macbook cross my toes pray that it still works get into the oldest version of garageband maybe find an appropriate sounding drum loop set it to the right tempo and begin to choke my second rate acoustic guitar on the chords to one part likely the verses over & over ad nauseam for way too long recording all of it even if it's obviously too long. then i will listen back delete what sounds off until i locate a section close to the length i think the verses need to be next i copy it and save it to be pasted after whatever becomes the bridge and/or chorus.....voila song is formed out of math & a bit of inspiration
