Was aiming for a vibey opening night set on the forest stage at 2025's Priceless festival in Belden, CA.  Blissed-out breaks, atmospheric garage, and hazy house.

Sadly the live recording cut off half my set, so this is from my last rehearsal the night before.

I reallly love the freedom of these long form restaurant sets. 4 hours in a room of strangers having dinner and drinks. No dancefloor. Ideally not really any real attention. I just get to catch a vibe and roll with it. Sometimes a new group shows up and I make a change to try and meet their energy, then slide back towards where I was before.
Listening back, my favorite moments are the ones that didn't quite work. Not a trainwreck or anything bad bad, but a blend that didn't really mesh how I wanted, or an energy shift that's just not the vibe....and EVERY time I feel that, within the next 4 minutes I either get back on course or flip the mood and start a new chapter. It makes these all the more interesting to play back later.

As is typical for me, we've got some deep house, chill ukg, a touch of deep dubstep, some liquid dnb, boom bap, low fi hip hop, and whatever else came into the moment.

Since 2007 The Willisist has been pushing the underground in Vancouver. With well over 300 shows hosted, at just about every venue the city had to offer, showcasing international headliners as well as the best new and veteran locals.  Still known for the now legendary False-o-Ween series, some massive NYE events at W2 and The Hive Climbing gym, and long running local nights with Nautilus and the Back Stage Lounge, he's also been a regular at Basscoast, and played Shambs and Wicked Woods. 

With a genuine love for Drum and Bass he has opened or hosted for the likes of Calibre, D-Bridge, Andy C, Dub FX, Dub Phizix, Blu Mar Ten, LSB, Spectrasoul, Breakage, High Contrast, Pendulum, Von D, Netsky and dozens more.
