Cousin Avi are as far from ‘vanilla’ as you can get.

Having toured across the UK, Europe and South America (including sharing the bill with acts such as, Amy Winehouse, Basement Jaxx, Example & Katy B) as well as releasing numerous self-produced records, Avi signed their first record deal in early 2017. They have since been writing and recording their debut releases, accompanied by multiple festival shows up and down the country, including Weyfest where the band have been asked back for a third year in a row, playing increasingly bigger stages.

The band have featured consistently on BBC Introducing radio shows, including a week long stint on the Tonight Show, which saw their ‘Take It Away’ EP played over 5 nights across all BBC Local and Regional stations, including live performances and interviews.

With their debut album in the works, it looks to be a busy year full of new music & bigger festival stages!

Emerging from  Croydon her take on indie soul has been described as a breath of fresh air. Embracing music at an early age she took on flute and classical piano which led to a passion to write her own music. 
Drawing inspiration from her favourite artists ; she has created her own sound . Her first recorded song, found its way to the playlists of BBC merseyside and BBC 1xtra . Dede is currently working on new material for her project alongside talented musicians and producers.
