Who/what currently inspires you music-wise that has nothing to do with music?

Water and light mostly 

What is your favorite party/collective where you reside and why?

Too many faves. Some heavy hitters off the top are Umami/Echo Flats/Heavenly/Community Chest. They are %100 in it for the experience. Community Chest is a joint force crew of about 7 great crews from Sydney – It’s kinda like when the power rangers come together to make that big robot fighter guy

What was your best moment at the supermarket?

They were playing Bill Withers in a Woollies once and it got me

What is your most recent favorite DJ mix and why?

Max D – Indie Rock on C- was maybe the last one that got me good. Max D only plays by Max D’s rules

Any advice to upcoming DJs/producers?

Contributing our latest episode is London’s ANNX, a regular figure within the city’s cutting-edge undercurrent whose many contributions include co-curation of the Whomp, Perspectives, and once-shrouded Magick events, and a residency at the beloved Above Below festival. Anna’s tireless dedication to the scene goes hand-in-hand with her unmistakable talent behind the decks, as evidenced by an impressive repertoire of mixes and set recordings, and which I was fortunate enough to witness first-hand last summer in the Chilterns. Here Anna demonstrates her well-honed craft over the course of two meticulously plotted hours, diving seamlessly into manifold forms of deep, heavy psychedelia before emerging in a wave of euphoric bliss. Icaros of the Desert Sky is a ceremonial trance journey by Leeuwenstein, inspired by the ancient Shipibo healing tradition, desert mysticism, and feminine voices that guide the soul into dissolution and rebirth.
Each track is a living icaro, woven from hypnotic basslines, tribal percussion, sacred chants, and subtle Arabic influences. The music carries you into a sacred space where geometry becomes sound, where water flows into fire, and where the boundaries of the self dissolve into infinite vibration.
This album is meant for deep journeys, ceremonies with plant medicine, and trance states of inner exploration. Close your eyes, surrender to the rhythm, and let the tapestry of sound carry you beyond time.
