Dhawa Sunrise is the first Outtallectuals compilation that was partially released as a sustainability fundraiser, used for rural development in Nepal. The funds from the first 2 years of sales from this album went towards rebuilding a school in Dhawa, a rural village in Nepal, and creating a science lab for the school.

Spliced into the mix, first-rinse exclusives from B00ty (LA) and Shiro Schwarz (Mexico City) alongside with an exclusive authorised DJ le Spam remix of Sherman Hunter’s ‘Dance to Freedom’ anthem. The title pays tribute to Ensign Records founder Nigel Grainge (1947-2017); a mentor to me both professionally and personally. A year of digging in the crates went into this mix, sourcing funk from as far afield as Russia and Israel and a global exclusive from B00ty.
