Originally written between the remote woods of Northern Sweden, a studio in Stockholm Old Town, and a city apartment over the course of two years, boerd’s ‘Misplaced’ now gets a global reimagining from label debutant Bella Boo, Tokyo's Lycoriscoris, Brooklyn’s BAILE, and label duo Jody Wisternoff & James Grant.

Opening the eclectic EP is Bella Boo’s take on lead single ‘It Fades Away’. Imparting an off-kilter flavour typical of her Studio Barnhus roots, Bella Boo reconstructs the original via a loafing detuned bassline. Lycoriscoris chooses to double down on the original’s fragility, curating an introspective atmosphere in his remix. 

Jody Wisternoff & James Grant take ’Someone’ in a clubbier direction, introducing a four-to-the-floor arrangement with melodic undertones. Lastly, BAILE presents a groove laden remix of ‘Gem’, emphasising the original’s beautiful piano lines atop a 2-step beat.

Cinthie’s we_r house welcomes UK artist Simon Shaw onto its roster with a four- track EP for the labels ninth release.
Southern England’s Simon Shaw has been building a steady production career over the past few years after cutting his teeth as a DJ and promoter over the past decade, recent times have seen him release material on DJ Steaw’s House Puff and his own Sense Traxx amongst others. Here though he joins we_r_house, following releases from Carlo Gambino and Sam Haskin this year.
‘Crystal’ takes the A1 slot, fusing hazy dubbed out chords, square wave bass stabs and swirling synths with a sturdy rhythmic foundation and an amalgamation of spoken word vocals. ‘Meth’ follows next, laying focus on heavily swung, dynamic drums an organ like melodic hook and sweeping delays throughout.
First up on the flip is ‘Late Night In Milan’, stripping things back to skippy percussion and bumpy sub hits at it’s core while sequences of airy deep house chords and bright strings ebb and flow within. ‘It’s Not The Way’ then completes the EP, retaining a similar aesthetic via snaking low-end hits, shuffled drums and ethereal synth textures while stirring in a heady resonant swell and chanting vocals to keep things moving.

After IPSE became the victim of an arson attack, KOFFAIN and HALLO MONTAG came together with various other friends of the club to create a compilation of beautiful tracks to both support the rebuilding of the club and to make a statement for what there is to come. All artists have played at IPSE during many wonderful nights and days and will do so when the club reopens. As our catalogue number KM053 appears on the horizon, we are happy to announce that it comes in shape of Keinemusik's own Reznik and his studio-buddy and friend Good Guy Mikesh's first full-fledged EP for the label. Them getting together can result in somewhat variable stylistic outcomes and so this batch of tunes certainly adds some exquisite nuances to the Keinemusik sound- portfolio.
"Human Factor" on A distinctively affirms that Reznik and Mikesh are kids of the 80ies. Effectively it is synth-heaven, layering riffs, melodies and chilly beat patterns on top of each other, building a foundation to be pinnacled by that hook you might not be able to get out of your head for quite a while. So, little trigger warning right there. A strongly crafted tune that balances Pop-sensibilities, educated references, club qualities and that name giving, at all hands needed human factor into a soon-to-be classic.
"It's Not You It's Me" on the flipside insinuates itself in a rather emotive manner, introducing a mantra-like organ motive, switches between stoic and dynamic drum patterns and an all-over organic feel, altogether adding up to what would be one of this season's most sensitive ways to get a floor going (if there was a season after all).
Closing things off is Adam Port's take on "It's Not You It's Me", a remix that breaks the original's dynamic down to a more loop-based club-approved modus operandi, re-shaping the beat with toms and shakers, implementing drones and variations of the organ-hook, upping the ante to meet the requirements of a rather post-peak application.

Will Saul, DJ/Producer and Aus Music label head primes the 150th release for the longstanding British label with a stellar cover of the 1990 seminal techno record of the same name by Yolanda on legendary label Underground Resistance.

With the original record being one of Saul's all time favorites and UR being a constant source of inspiration it was beyond a dream to get his version fully approved by Mike Banks to celebrate the landmark anniversary. Saul then worked with Berlin based vocalist Gilli.jpg - who has recently worked with Cinthie - to re-vocal Yolanda’s song.

Will Saul has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for nearly 20 years now. He has released well over 150 records across his two labels - Aus Music & Simple Records - from the influential likes of Joy Orbison, Carl Craig, Pearson Sound, Leon Vynehall and Actress, as well as EPs that helped to break the careers of talents like Bicep, Dusky, Midland and George FitzGerald. This visceral A&R ability has seen him become head of A&R at !K7, responsible for all artist signings and in charge of curating the hallowed DJ Kicks series. Unearthing new and exciting artists and music is Will's lifeblood and something he has been doing every day for as long as he can remember. Will started working in music aged 19 - work experience during university led to a full time role as A&R with Sony Music. He left Sony to set up his first label Simple whilst becoming part of the team that founded the legendary Phonica Records in London.
As an artist in his own right his music and remixes have been critically acclaimed and seen him featured on the cover of DJ magazine and helm the Essential mix for Radio 1. Will has been trusted to remix a diverse range of incredible artists from Little Dragon to Kelis via Pearson Sound and Fink and has released many singles and EPs (on labels such as Kompakt and !K7 as well his own) as well as two full length artist albums - the last of which was his CLOSE project - which saw him tour a live audio visual show (with a drummer) which debuted in room 2 of Fabric.

Will is an experienced DJ and has held residencies at some of the best clubs in the world (The End in London, Studio 80 in Amsterdam and a label residency at Fabric to name a few) and plays/played (some are now closed) regularly at the likes of Panoramabar, Robert Jonson, Trouw, Yellow and Labyrinth Festival. Will has contributed entries to two of the most respected commercially released mix series out there in DJ Kicks and Balance - both of which made it into Resident Advisors best 20 compilations of the year.
