* Tales as old as time talk about the war between the PLANTS and the ZOMBIES, a seemingly endless conflict that  somehow started out of thin air, from the ancient egyptian times to the scorching western era, both parties just could not let go.

* Eventually, as humanity grew tired of the undying tension and fearfulness of being in between brain eating monsters and mutant sentient plants, the most influential and powerful world leaders came together to create a temporary alliance.

* Together, they set out to locate and exterminate every single one of them, not counting with the raw power of these persecuted groups's leaders.

* While the plant team, led by a seemingly insane man, gave up peacefully and seeked an agreement, the undead leader was not willing to back down.

* Battle was rough, but eventually humanity came victorius, and the leader of the undead, finally conceded to the agreement.

* They all Agreed for both zombies and plants to be banished into an uninhabited island that doesn't appear in any maps, per request of the human leaders.

* Over the course of the years, humans started forgetting about these creatures one by one, turning these events into a mere legend in humanity's mind.

Injured by its fall, the human called out for help.

The queen's son heard the human's call.

He brought the human back to the castle.

Over time, the two became like siblings.

The Queen and King treated the human child, CHARA, as their own.

The underground was full of hope.

Then... One day...

CHARA had fallen very ill.

The sick human had only one request.

To see the flowers from their village.

But there was nothing we could do.

The next day.

CHARA had passed.

The queen's son, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's SOUL.

He transformed into a being with incredible power.

With the human SOUL, he crossed through the barrier.

He carried the human's body into the sunset.

Back to the village of the humans.

He reached the center of the village.

There, he found a bed of golden flowers.

He carried the human onto it.

Suddenly, screams rang out.

The villagers saw him holding the human's body.

They thought that he had killed the child.

The humans attacked him with everything they had.

He was struck with blow after blow.

The queen's son suddenly released a bright light, blinding the humans.

...

He had fought back.

Humans, one by one, fell to the ground, wounded.

Until...

One struck the queen's son, critically.

Clutching the human...

He ran back to MT EBOTT.

There, at the mountain's peak...

His SOUL and CHARA's split, along with their bodies.

Pludging CHARA into the capital's garden.

The kingdom fell into despair.

The queen and king had lost two children in one night.

The humans had once again taken everything from us.

The queen decided it was time to end our suffering.

In an intense fit of rage, she declared war on the humans once again.

She declared...

Every human who falls down here must die.

With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever.
