Paulo Chagas and I have made a number of internet collaborative albums together.
So when he said, let’s invite Henry Koek to join us, I did not fully know what would happen.

Henry Koek writes cosmic poems and makes shaman sounding percussive music,
so to our pleasure,….that is what blended into our mixes.

We invite you to partake with our poems set with music, and three instrumentals,
with a shaman inspired tone with all of our pieces. Please hear the music, like and comment!

This is the 3rd of 3 album preview pieces for the album "above a darkness of earth." Our wish, with this piece and with the whole album, is to offer a calm, meditative piece to help towards a deepening connection with the earth and each other.

Here is the poem that I wrote which inspired this music:
Hum, just above, a darkness of earth

River runs nearby,
gurgles and murmurs, 

sounds out 
under submerged tree trunks, 
pale and immersed in the flow.
Blackness of deep night 
has 
already settled here.

Still,
fine, serrated leaves whisper with the wind,
gently hover over darkness.

Stems from last year
still 
rise up,
Still,
connected to dark earth.

Purple blossoms, in rows of hearts
Still,
hum quietly 
to each other,
just 
above a darkness of earth.

Well friends, yesterday I posted the mediation for Axel to say "thank you" for his initiative starting and all the energy he put into the cloud and sound..I was sad that he did't felt that it was of any use or importance anymore...And what about his initiative to change concerning  soundlcoud itself...THANKS Axel !!!
And today he played some beautiful lines and stuf to it and he decided to go on with cloud and sound !!!!
Things in life are changing every day as it should !! Cheers .

A few months after we met first in 1996 , we started recording our absolutely free improvised music-sessions. There was no concept, subject or any arrangement. When we listened to these recordings again years later, we were surprised at its stunning qualities. The intimate character of the sessions, the intensity of the musical presence of mind and the audible open and animate interexchange of thoughts and feelings made them sound like fascinating and fully developed compositions, which we want to share with you on soundcloud. The result is a document of a long lasting musical friendship, played live, without dubs, improvisation pure : TIMES IN PRESENCE
