‘Bullets Reloaded’ is an ongoing project re-firing some of the bullet tunes from the Dope Ammo Records stock. Each Round will consist of 4 tracks packaged into a single download and at a price that cannot be ignored. 

For the first round we shoot straight to one of the most successful tunes on the label thus far. ‘Roots & Culture’ is a pivotal track from the Drunken Masters that turned heads within the scene and made a big impact with the jungle masses back in 2004. A simple catchy and melodic bassline amongst Ragga Vocals and a classic breakbeat raised the eyebrows of key players and music lovers within the scene and put Dope Ammo Records firmly on the map. 

Flavour of the month The Serial Killaz are a well-established house hold name and their rework of Roots & Culture took the tune to the next level. Making use of all the original samples and vocal whilst staying true to the original mix. The Serial Killaz delivered a fast paced workout with pounding bass stabs that takes this tune to new places and adding just enough to bring it right up to date. 

When Dope Ammo and Resinate get in the studio together we have grown to expect big tingz. ‘Come out to Play’ proves just that and despite being one of their first collaborations, it is evident that they gel well in the studio and when these ‘Warriors’ come out to play you had better watch out. Take a trip on this ghost train as we enter with chilling strings and haunting chord stabs that are reminiscent from the old skool / hardcore days. Along the ride we are greeted by the late G.C Coleman’s classic amen break with a little pitch work for added tension and a throbbing and twisted wobble.

No sleep tonight as ‘Erb n Dub’ curse us with Insomnia. A simple housey loop on the intro is all that is required to take us to the drop. A super large and spacious lead bassline is the power sound in this tune, no messing and straight to the point Insomnia is the perfect remedy for narcoleptic sufferers out there and a great way to close out ‘Round 1’ of the ‘Bullets Reloaded’ series.
