Versatil adventurous spanish flute player and improviser based in The Netherlands, with a long and broad experience working in many different music fields as Jazz Music, World (Flamenco, Brazilian, Latin, Gamelan,…), Classical, Contemporary, Experimental, Electronic, Rock, Free Jazz, Noise, Ambient, Funk, Hip Hop, Pop, and many other music genres.

He has performed in groups and projects with musicians like Phil Woods, Norma Winstone, Alex Sipiagin, The Hague Ethospheric Orchestra, AsGuests quintet, London Improvisers Orchestra, Han Bennink, John Ruocco, Bobby Martínez Latin Elation, Saray Muñoz Barrul, Israel Cerreduela, Yuri Honing, Eric Vloeimans, Michael Moore, Nicole Mitchell, and many others musicians, dancers and artists from different places, cultures and social backgrounds, having performed in different countries in South-East Asia, US, Canada and in a big part of Europe (North Sea Jazz Festival, Bimhuis, Festival Flamenco Viena, Steve Reich Festival, Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene, Margaret Greeham Theater, Bratislava Jazz Days,…)

He is graduated with Honors from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (The Netherlands) in Jazz Performance, where he also obtained a Master Degree with positive critics.  He also received music education at the Banff Center of Arts (Canada), School for improvisation (Oslo and New York), Institute Seni Indonesia (Surakarta),etc. studying with great musicians as John Ruocco, Dave Douglas, Ralph Alessi, Bobby Martínez, Tony Malaby, Jen Shyu, Hein van de Geyn,…

Currently, he is working on a few projects inspired on many of the sounds of the Asian culture, integrating them in a serie of compositions influenced by the worlds of jazz music, film music, electronic, ambient, electric jazz rock, gamelan music, flamenco, etc.

V.O. (short for Version Originale) based in Brussels-Belgium, designs impressionist pop/folk songs.  Gronemberger’s stirring vocal timbre gets carried by the currents of woodwind and brass punctuations, hypnotic parts for vibraphone and keys, and gorgeous vocal harmonies including the voice of the charismatic Aurélie Muller. There are mesmerizing rhythmic lines that repeat and change in all the right places, perfectly executed, creating an almost addictive sonor ambiance. 

“On Rapids” ,their third album, is without a doubt V.O.’s finest work and milestone to date and boasts the touch of well known American producer/engineer John McEntire (Tortoise, The Sea And Cake)
It’s not hyperbole to place V.O. in the noble lineage of The Beach Boys, Robert Wyatt, or Jim O’Rourke. Over the course of three albums, V.O.’s sound has evolved into its own potential actualized: magnificent, uplifting, and authentically pop.
