Summer Melody presents the remixes from our winners of Skyhunter's Smile After Sadness remix competition, organised back in July-August 2021. We have remixes from Finland-based Caira and Russia-based Mekao, that both has been releasing on the label previously.

Caira delivers with his signature trance-influenced progressive sounds, layering with trance leads and solid bassline. Mekao, on the other hand, provides with his melodic take and well-produced version of the original, more simpler on the melodies yet creates deeper and lusher vibes.

Skyhunter - Smile After Sadness (Caira Remix) [SMLD123]

Dance music superstar Boris Brejcha has unveiled his hotly anticipated new album Never Stop Dancing, out on 26th November which is also the masked legends Birthday.
  
A twelve-track release, Never Stop Dancing features no fewer than five tracks released as singles across the year. First up is ‘Spicy’, a track that combines driving snares and delicate piano chords with the fleeting vocals of Boris’ real-life partner Ginger. She appears regularly throughout the LP, first on July single ‘Take A Ride’, a meticulously refined techno cut centred around euphoric breakdowns and a pulsating bassline, then on the impulsive, rhythmic techno of the title track, Boris’ most recent single.
Further singles come in the form of ‘House Music’, a collaboration with London pop trio Arctic Lake that pairs feelgood melodies with high-pitched vocals, and ‘Twisted Reality’, which features the kind of euphoric breakdowns only the German maestro could pull off.
Elsewhere, Ginger’s vocoder vocals return amidst the haunting, brooding synths of ‘State Of Mind’ and the potent, trance-inspired big room energy of ‘Underworld’, before the steady kick drum thumps and emotional breakdowns ensure Never Stop Dancing closes out on a moving note.
One of the hardest working artists in the electronic sphere, Boris has already released three EPs this year, ‘Vodka & Orange’, ‘Matrix’ and ‘EXIT’, while in 2020 he dropped acclaimed album Space Diver.
Emerging onto the scene with the double EP release of Monster and Yellow Kitchen back in 2006, Brejcha has spent the years since developing his own style of music, coined as ‘High-Tech Minimal’.
A diverse, dancefloor-focused collection of tracks, Never Stop Dancing is the work of an artist who continues to challenge himself with every release.

It seems that the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the most important event in the world concerning our style of electronic music, is finally back in full force this year after the pandemic. And of course Chrom is more than ready for it with our annual ADE Sampler ànd a label showcase on Saturday 22th October!

On our ADE2022 release called "Amsterdam 2022" we present once again some of our talents to the world with 11 brand-new exclusive tracks, covering the full spectrum from Progressive House and Indie Dance to Melodic House and Techno. We have many familiar Chrom artists on board for this compilation: our own label manager Pedro Mercado teaming up for the first time with JG Outsider, Fernando Lagreca, Qarrassa, Alex Sharp, Opera Omnia, Valen Frando, and Shemsu in collaboration with DAVIDEE. And we introduce also some new faces: SLP from Hungary, Elle Jae from New Zealand, Schön and Sturm from Germany and Greg Siokos from Greece.

We hope you enjoy our selection and if you are in Amsterdam for ADE we hope to see you at our own free ADE Label Showcase on Saturday 22th October. Anjunadeep label favourites Simon Doty and Marsh announce their first collaborative single, ‘Touch The Sky’. A track tried and tested on dancefloors around the world, ‘Touch The Sky’ is out November 1 and marks the first offering from Marsh’s forthcoming artist album, ‘Endless’, out February 3, 2023.
Few artists exude as much passion for, and dedication to, their craft as Tom Marshall (AKA Marsh). Since he first emerged on the electronic music scene in the mid-2010s, Marsh has sculpted a uniquely soulful sound that has captivated his listeners and earned him a fast-growing and intensely devoted fanbase.

Marsh’s forthcoming album ‘Endless’ follows two previous bodies of work; his 2017 debut ‘Life By The Shore’, and his critically-acclaimed Anjunadeep debut LP, ‘Lailonie’, the latter of which has accumulated over 20 million streams to date, and sold over 1500 vinyl copies.

Marsh also has an array of widely-supported anthems in his discography. ‘Come Together’ (with Nox Vahn), ‘Little Darling’ and the Beatport chart-topping ‘Lost In You’ are some of his best-loved tracks, all streaming well into the millions and winning support from electronic music’s biggest artists, including Joris Voorn, Pete Tong, Diplo and RÜFÜS DU SOL.

The two years since Marsh released his previous album ‘Lailonie’ have seen Tom moving around the States, and touring the globe in a world rapidly opening up post-pandemic. This whirlwind, semi-nomadic lifestyle has inspired his third artist album ‘Endless’, and caused him to take stock of his values. In his own words,

“I’ve written this entire album on the move, writing from so many different homes.On a deeper, more spiritual level, this has led me to question, what is truly home and will we experience home after this life?”

‘Endless’ comprises twelve memorable tracks, including collaborations with vocalists Jodie Knight, Leo Wood and Mariel Beausejour. Drawing on influences as diverse as the rich trance sounds of the 2000s that soundtracked his teenage years, and the musicality of crossover drum & bass acts like Pendulum, Tom’s next offering is perhaps his most expansive in scope. Opening with the subtle first track ‘Pneuma’, the album moves from the emotive and lyrical, on lyrical, emotive tracks like ‘Sleep’ and ‘Forgiveness’, to piano house melodies on ‘Reminiscent’ and smooth broken beats on ‘Blue’, all united by Marsh’s innate warm musicality.

Ahead of his album release, Marsh has a busy schedule, appearing on all 13 dates of Anjunadeep’s upcoming European and Australian tours, including stops at iconic venues like Amsterdam’s Paradiso, and Berlin’s Watergate. In addition, he will be appearing at Above & Beyond’s forthcoming landmark show, ABGT500, and going back to back with ‘Touch The Sky’ collaborator Simon Doty to a crowd of 12,000. Marsh’s own headline world tour will kick off in January 2023, and bring his signature melodic stylings to even more of the world’s dancefloors.

‘Touch The Sky’ lands on Anjunadeep on November 1, ahead of Marsh’s artist album ‘Endless’, out February 3, 2023.

Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album full of contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 1 is slated for a September 21st release, and features sonic reinterpretations from Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Hibernation, An-ten-nae, Kaminanda, AtYya, Tribone, Twin Shape, Land Switcher, Drumspyder, and Govinda. The second part will be released in late October with contributions from Emancipator, Whitebear, Sixis, Mystral, Supersillyus, Halfred, Master Minded, and many others. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

Windom R is a breaks-producer, combining all diversity of broken rhythms in his music. Treating old school with respect, he uses new technical production and sound design means. In his work he makes a bias in the deeper and darker vibration, the sound is experimental and original. Dima's releases were repeatedly awarded high marks in Spanish DJ MAG and were supported by respected colleagues in the scene. 
     It was released on such labels as RUNE RECORDINGS, DUBS RECORDS, EGO SHOT RECORDINGS, DEAD FAMOUS RECORDS, XCLUBSIVE RECORDINGS, V.I.M.BREAKS, DEEP GARNET RECORDS, KIOSEK,  RUSTOUT RECORDS.
Dima did not limit himself, and constantly experimenting with different styles of mixing their elements in the Breaks music.He is the author of the podcast BrokenWave, which sanctifies the deep, dark and atmospheric side of Breaks music. Most recently, Dima and his friends open free music label Calligraphy Recordings where release a variety of 
electronic music with a broken beat.
