Those dark deep notes are so apt for the title and an absolutely wonderful sax solo!

This is a brilliant piece of music, all the more so as a veiled protest.  The sax work could have come out of the 1940's, the flute bits out of the 60's rock era. Front to back brilliant playing.

Jeff had already included that trippy repeating synthy thing going on throughout the background. I added the melodic thread that evolves throughout, the chords that chime in here and there, and the experimental sound collage at the end. I've had this one ready to go for a bit, and figured it would be fun to release this week, along with our new Smoking Trout song, Assimilation, as kind of like a fun little B-side to that track. My original intention was to include this track on the Foundation album, but it didn't quite fit... mainly due to its slightly "breathless" quality. I don't often do this but I got a bit carried away with the synth and guitar "wig-out" towards the end. The synth lead was played on a Native Instruments Maschine 2 pad, rather than a keyboard.
