I felt a wave of nostalgia this weekend for a song I heard many years ago. This piece is part of the soundtrack from the game Quest for Glory 1 (released in 1989).

Erana's Peace was composed by Mark Seibert, and I think it’s an excellent piece of music. This is my rearrangement and tribute to the original—my take on it (it's not my song, just a cover).

It’s still a work in progress, so I apologize for any minor flaws

Sunshine on my back.
It's beginning to decline.
It doesn't make me happy and looks not at all lovely.

We are living in the age of dusk.
The night is long and the dawn will be far.


Ruined civilization left one poetry to us.
We should begin to write it shortly, if someone will read.

The end will come calmly little by little.
I feel sunshine on my back.


The choirs singing uprose and filled the church.
The voice of prayer is drowning in the strong wind.


Sunshine on my back.
That shine is not strong anymore.
Looking for lost things, we wander in the town.

We've consumed all the things.
Whom do I say goodbye to?

I was killed by the hand of a hit man 
sent by someone who wanted me to shut up,
two shots rang out in the night, such an awful sound,
were enough to send me laying on the ground.

But I'm not shutting up, thanks to this pre-recorded song,
I keep telling my version of the story, though I'm definitely gone.
Greetings to my family and friends, they must go on without me
but for now I'm able to stay down here in the grave, and yet say hi.

I'm thinking about the story of the so many people 
whose lives they risked to lose, in loving of the truth.
These are real leader.

There's no honour in dying, you know,
the honour is staying alive.

played quietly on my twelve string guitar: representing a waterfall. gets louder throughout, bit frenetic, hard to get the sense of rushing water and meditation at the same time.

I’m quite sure this is the first time I share I haiku written by me.

In February I spent 10 days in Himachal Pradesh, a northern Indian state in the Himalayas, practising yoga 4 hours a day with my partner. Even though the yoga class was initially my idea, I soon realized that I lacked the flexibility (and patience) to enjoy it fully. We would start at 6,30AM with meditation, and that was my favourite part as sometimes, for a few moments, I was able to free my mind completely. In those rare occasions my senses were sharper, and after practicing for a few days I heard the sound of a waterfall, which I knew was in the village but I didn’t hear before.

The clear day in the rainy season.
The madder red of the twilight appeared
And vanished instantly.

Kyoshi was the editor of the haiku magazine Hototogisu, which promoted a more traditional style of haiku compared to other contemporary schools which were not following the pattern of seventeen syllables at that time. Kyoshi also highlighted the symbolic function of the kigo (the season word), even though the more modern trends were already tending towards season-less haiku. He was active during the Shōwa period of Japan.

18 Somewhere In Time

windspace began exploring electronic music in 1982 using analog synthesizers and in recent years has gravitated to ambient music. windspace today mostly uses computers to produce his music, but occasionally some ancient hardware sees the light of day. He also releases more experimental and extreme music under the name of ho66it.  He records his music now in Colorado where he resides with his greatest supporter...his wonderful wife.
