bio en français (english follows below): Je suis un DJ, photographe, j'anime une émission de radio et je suis archiviste d'art et de musique basé à Moncton, Nouveau-Brunswick, Canada. Je suis un bâtisseur et facilitateur de la scène underground depuis plus de vingt ans. Par l'entremet de mon émission de radio La Photo Sonore (sur les ondes de CODIAC CKUM 93.5fm à l'Université de Moncton) je partage ma passion pour les arts et la musique avec acharnement. En plus d'être un chroniqueur de la scène artistique et culturel c'est les arts et la musique qui me garde aller avec ferveur. toujours en photo et musique. 

I'm a DJ, photographer, radio show host, music & arts archivist.  I'm based out Moncton, New Brunswick(Canada).  Longtime scene maker, supporter and facilitator of the canadian underground east coast music scene. I host a weekly radio show called La Photo Sonore on CODIAC CKUM 93.5FM (Université de Moncton) as well as host monthly dance parties called IPN with BONES all over the east coast of Canada.  I've also been a music and arts scene reporter for various shows on CBC and Radio Canada in the past.... music and the arts are what keep me going.

The Winter Coats' music has been described by reviewers as “Elements of noise rock, lo-fi, atmospheric and ambient music, post-rock, and straight-ahead trashy punk – all wrapped up in a noisy, analog and very original shell,” and “a well orchestrated and melodic 12-piece movement,” a “beautiful oddity,” and “like LSD…on acid.” "The Coats’ compositions contain passages of music and riffs that are nothing short of exhilarating.”

The venerable Weird Canada, recognized for its in-depth coverage of experimental/DIY music and art across the country, wrote about the Winter Coats second album: "The cryptically unknowable Fredericton duo of Garcia and Le Noir have produced a sophomore record you’d be proud to learn was created in your neck of the woods. Updating fans infrequently, rarely releasing tunes, and playing shows even more interstitially, it’s fair to assume they no longer exist at any juncture, but they’ve somehow surpassed the lifespan of many of their cohorts: Yellowteeth, Lee Harvey Oswalds, etc. Let Luis and Joel become your personal Boris or Glenn Branca."
