The event Bosun refers to is the eruption of Mount Asama in 1783, which instantly killed over 1,000 people. The toxic ash traveled 100 miles to Edo, making farmland useless and causing many more people to starve.

Hard to decide since there were so many cool tracks. Selected “B Drone” by @morgulbee / @alanblip for my first contribution. Hoping to work with another track before the Monday deadline. The Assignment: Record the second third of a trio.

For the second track, I worked with a solo that no one else had used. I liked https://soundcloud.com/meccaniche-del-suono/first-tongue-ram-disquiet0697?in=disquiet/sets/disquiet-junto-project-0697 by Meccaniche del Suono, because it somehow talked to me and seemed wonderfully inaccessible. Something I would fail at.

I added more layers of strings and flutes, some electronics and some ambience. I did all this by what felt right, hence the title, which may of course be a mistake. Thanks to Meccaniche del Suono / Marco Marongiu for his track!
