Disquiet Junto Project 0498: Sonic Entomologist. Create a new hybrid insect from the sound of two different insects.

I sent "fake genius - alpha centauri" and "ausgesuchtestenohren - swarm behaviour" into the GleetchLab laboratory and let it cook for some time – the result is a nano insect, that swarm into human cells and feeds from alien DNA in the human DNA. 

"Spacerhopperis Carcinogenesis" may free us from alien influences, but probably has carcinogenic side effects, hence the name. Because of its small size for insects, Spacerhopperis Carcinogenesis can only be heard with nanophones and these 20 seconds took months to be recorded.

Built upon 33per's "(Rock the) Firebells" piece: https://soundcloud.com/33per/firebells

This instrument made of fireballs immediately made me think of the two organ pipes I have in my studio. I took them outside and played them with a shop vac. A bit noisy, but there it is.

Added two elements to 33per's track, both are made from samples of the lowest organ pipe. Left lots of empty space.

As the original track is stereo and makes use of that, my mix is also stereo with my parts layered on. I have a version with hard panning if you prefer.

I added a field recording (made by my friend Eric Norris in the parking lot of a motel in Tehachapi, CA) of a squeaky, rattly, metallic, metal roof air conditioner fan.

Added a delay and a reverb to mash things together.

This required a delicate touch and I stuffed myself in the center, where I hope to do the original tracks justice. I did not alter the duo track in anyway, just some glue and EQ for the mastering.
