Rahaas is a group of young musicians who are keen on unraveling the secrets of the vast universe of music.

Rahaas is a Sanskrit word which means a secret or a mystical truth. The members hail from different backgrounds of music having the same goal, to explore the vast ocean of world music. They create a unique blending of electric instruments with instruments which are deeply rooted to Indian heritage and also that of other coutries, namely Sarod, Tabla, Bangla Dhol, Djembe, Cajoun etc.

Bassist for Porcupine Tree, other collaborations include: O.R.k. , Ex-Wise Heads (with flute/sax player Geoff Leigh), Burnt Belief (with guitarist Jon Durant), Endless Tapes (with multi-instrumentalist Alessandro Pedretti), Astarta/Edwin with (Ukrainian Vocal duo Astarta), Metallic Taste of Blood (with Eraldo Bernocchi), Slow Electric and Henry Fool (with Tim Bowness) also Twinscapes (with Lorenzo Feliciati) and Edwin/Durant/Kovtun.

Tim Bowness is a British musician, primarily known as vocalist/co-writer with the band No-Man, a long-running collaboration with Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson.

In addition to releasing six studio albums and a documentary dvd with No-Man, Tim has worked with popular Italian artist Alice, Robert Fripp, Hugh Hopper (Soft Machine), OSI and Roger Eno, amongst many others, and is currently in the Mascot label band, Memories Of Machines, and the Anglo-Estonian ensemble Slow Electric.

Tim has also recorded the album Flame with Richard Barbieri (Porcupine Tree/ex-Japan) and co-produced/co-written the acclaimed Talking With Strangers (2009) for Judy Dyble (ex Fairport Convention).

Since 2001, Tim has co-run the specialist online label / store Burning Shed with Pete Morgan.
