Again introducing 7 new artists to the label including a production debut by Carmen Electro who releases her first ever track and music from Berghain / Panorama bar regulars like Zombies in Miami and Pink Concrete. This VA dives into the many facettes in between house and techno. 

Bringing some vintage heat to the VA, LA-based 1morning drops “Like a Funk Machine”. As the name suggests, this one leans into classic funk elements: organs, piano, shakers, and quirky synth chops riding a driving, crunchy low end. It sounds and feels old-school for a reason.

SIBAST was born in Denmark but raised on the dance floors of DTPM, Trade, and The End in London. He developed his DJ craft in Berlin, blending his UK Hard House roots with the city’s darker techno sound. Known for high-energy selections and serious groove, SIBAST brings the rave every time—expect 90s HI-NRG and Hard House with uplifting vocals and bounce.

For this mix, he delivers a tougher edge, weaving old and new techno with hardgroove flavours. Inspired by the sound of BCCO, Berlin’s raw energy, and his enduring love for the UK’s 90s rave scene.

Now based in Amsterdam, she’s shaking up the scene with a bold perspective and high-voltage energy. Her sets fuse rolling low-end grooves with raw rave power—blending 4x4 techno, uplifting melodies, and emotional intensity into moments that leave a mark.

TWIENA’s sound blurs the lines between industrial techno, ghetto grooves, trance textures, and global club influences—from the UK to Detroit to South America.

Next up on the Local Selection, we welcome Ukiyo Lacuna resident IKIGAI3000 (aka Dylan Jones), who has provided a mind-bending recording for us today. His contribution is one filled with a fierce selection of energetic techno, scattered with dazzling moments of tension and release throughout.

Although he is a relatively new artist in Ireland's techno scene, having just started DJing in late 2023, IKIGAI3000 has had a fairly action-packed time as a DJ and producer during this short period. He has played shows all over, spanning Galway, Drogheda and Dublin as well as international gigs further afield in Manchester, Freiburg and Berlin. This also includes appearances on Galway's Skin Sessions, Limerick's Shed Sets, as well as the Drogheda Groove Movement mix series.

His productions have been received particularly well, with releases on Space Records and IC Trax and an abundance of SoundCloud self-releases. Additionally, he's garnered support from a range of notable artists that include Uberkikz, Dax J, Daria Kolosova, Grace Dahl and Alarico. It's clear to see that Dylan's progression as an artist will undoubtedly continue to rustle feathers amongst his peers if he continues to build on this fine level of output and consistency.

IKIGAI3000's mix for the Local Selection is best described as a personal journey through sound. This recording in particular showcases where he currently finds himself on his path as an artist, seamlessly weaving through tracks that complement one another in effortless fashion. Best characterised as a 60-minute immersion of no nonsense, serious techno.
