'Join The Dots' is the title track taken from TOY's forthcoming second album. 

The single edit - backed with an instrumental of the track - will be released as a limited edition 7" (300 copies) on 21st October 2013. Each copy will feature a screen-printed sleeve by artist David Chatton Barker (www.davidchattonbarker.com).

'Join The Dots', the album, will be released through Heavenly Recordings on Monday 9th December 2013.

It follows TOY's self-titled debut album which was released in September 2012, also recorded with Dan Carey in his South London studio.

Last year we were asked to write a tune for the Bond movie Spectre.
Yes we were. It didn’t work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much.
As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it.

Spectre

Slow Moses comes from Phoenix, Arizona. Charity Binge is a record made in an experimental rehearsal/recording space called the Dressing Room (or Droom) that sits across the street from a municipal mental ward in Downtown Phoenix.

When there’s some sun-stroked, meth-addled guy screaming at the pavement near the patio of a restaurant, who gets called? Insanity isn’t a crime, at least not formally... but still, the police come hush the lunatic, shepherd him into Crown Vic and take him away. They drop him off at the ward. He gets screened. No budget for fixing all the broken people in Arizona. Let him loose. He’s got no clue where he is. No money. No ride. He hears amps pushing sound out an open door around midnight. He walks toward it and sticks his head through the threshold to find five guys drinking, smoking and playing music. They all notice him looming, but they don’t stop playing. When he makes a move to enter, they still don't stop playing. When he finds a seat... even still, they don’t stop. He’s got shelter for a second. He’s allowed to be there. It was a romantic idea, an open-door policy. It went awry.

Brett return with astral lead single, "Claire Drained," and news of their sophomore album, Mode. Across the record's 10 tracks, Brett's songwriting magic is undeniable. Pop jams come to life in 3D, swirling the senses and putting the mind into motion.

Unlike previous material, Mode inspirations are diverse, owing more to multimedia art than romance, namely Jean-Luc Godard’s recent film, Goodbye to Language. “The defining quote for me was: ‘For women, it's only sex and death. For men, it's only infinity and zeroes,’” said vocalist Mick Coogan. “It’s a fairly opaque statement, but I think the irony lies in assigning absolutes to human relationships, which can be so beautiful and inspiring. At the same time, the fundamental differences between men and women are very real and that shit is difficult to figure out.” In a more abstract way, the light installations of James Turrell also influenced the musical contours of the album. 

The album’s art was created as a large-scale painting by LA artist, Charley Alexander, using abstracted patterns, shapes and color scales, and then cut into 50 squares, each of which will be sold with limited edition pre-order copies of the vinyl record.

Wire’s new mini-album, Nocturnal Koreans, is striking in its diversity, the band fluently negotiating an expansive stylistic range, from immensely catchy pop to ambient introspection and beyond. Chronicling a sleepless night that Wire spent in a seedy Boston-area hotel on their 2013 US tour, the title track is the kind of charging, urgent tune that’s always been vocalist-songwriter Colin Newman’s forte. The lyrics, by bassist Graham Lewis, make this one of guitarist Matthew Simms’s favourites on the record, largely because of the associated memories: “It’s a great snapshot of touring America and when I hear or play that song, it reminds me of the many weird and wonderful times, places and people that cross your path.”

Nocturnal Koreans

Since their formation in London in 1976, the members of Wire have maintained and advanced a musical project which treats the creative potential of a rock band as a fluid, amorphous medium. As removed from self-conscious intellectualism as they are from the inherent conservatism of much rock music, Wire employ their unique, endlessly restless and risk-taking creativity to question every aspect of songwriting, recording and performance. They delight and disturb in equal measure, troubleshooting the circuitry of perfect pop, or patrolling the limits of focused experimentalism. In terms of working together as Wire, the group's members disbanded in 1980, reformed in 1985, disbanded in 1992 and reformed for the second time in 2000. Such sabbaticals from their career as Wire have served to sharpen the group's edge and focus, updating the tactics with which they pursue this shared project.
