Following the success of their debut single ‘Infatuation’, London based Liu Bei announce the 'GOODNESS' EP, out Feb 2nd 2015 via the newly founded Museumgoer Records.

The EP follows a successful 2014 that saw the band release their first single via Transgressive Records imprint paradYse to universal critical acclaim, as well as opening for Dry the River on their autumn UK tour. In 2015 Liu Bei will once again be gracing the stage with a string of live dates kicking off in Oxford on 3rd February 2015 (see tour dates below).

​Liu Bei (pronounced Lou Bay and named after a truly exceptional Chinese Warlord) create gloriously addictive and epic music. The 'Goodness' EP showcases three new tracks, perfectly melding shoegazey energy with moments of ethereal delicacy, all tied together with effortless melodic hooks. Full of shimmers and bite, and littered with heartstring plucking lyrics, the songs are delivered with a ferocious intensity, both on record and in a live setting. From the Teenage Fanclub-esque pulse of lead track ‘Goodness' to the pure iceberg beauty of 'Fields', featuring backing vocals from Rachel Goswell of shoegaze legends Slowdive, the EP captures a band racing ahead of the pack.

Debut single ‘Being’ is a Pop anthem, a landscape of acoustic instruments, synths and a symphony of voices depicting how Millington delivered his daughter into this world, the feeling of euphoria he experienced there after with a underlying message of hope for the future.

“Most nights I dream I’m being chased. I don’t know what this is a manifestation of, only that it started when I was a little kid, and it began as wolves or wild dogs that pursued me. Those hounds bite at my heels and keep me from stopping and asking for help. Their howls whistle through my head and deafen me to the voices of people who also need help. It’s all consuming. This song is an acknowledgement that we need each other to survive. There’s safety in numbers. We’ve seen how ‘every man for himself’ turns out, and we need to do better.”

Good music seems instantaneous: a decisive rush of expression and dopamine. Hamilton, Ontario's Ellevator capture that direct hit of immediacy, with a closer listen revealing the meticulous design of their muscular pop songs. Frontwoman Nabi Sue Bersche delivers raw lyricism with quiet power. Her nimble melodies anchor the electric hooks and cinematic timbres Ellevator has refined on countless stages. Wiretree is an indie pop/indie rock project hailing from Austin, Texas. Founded by Kevin Peroni, Wiretree's music is built on a foundation of intimate, homemade recordings. While primarily a solo endeavor, the project has featured collaborations with other musicians, including Joshua Kaplan and Gregory White on guitar, Rachel Peroni on bass, Daniel Blanchard on drums and Daniel Jones, also on drums.

A new LP is out on 9.1.2025 solely written and recorded by Kevin Peroni.
