German public broadcaster, Deutschlandradio, has commissioned Wisebuddah to produce the new station sound for their alternative speech and music station, Deutschlandfunk Nova.

As the youngest member in the Deutschlandradio family, Deutschlandfunk Nova broadcasts nationally bringing dynamic, sophisticated and future-oriented radio to its young target audience.

The new package from the London-based production company features 12 bespoke themes, alongside a new punchy two-note sonic logo, which is built around and championing the unique ‘Nova’ character. 

Dominik Evers, Editorial Management for Deutschlandfunk Nova, said: “The basic idea of the new sound design is that the jingle sounds vary throughout the day - based on our content. For instance, in the morning we have a jingle that goes well with the news and current affairs coverage; in the evening it gets more electronic and modern. 

We have found Wisebuddah to be very professional, highly sophisticated and constructive. In this regard, we have truly benefitted from Wisebuddah's broad experience.”

Hitradio Ö3 have again teamed up with Wisebuddah to refresh their station sound with a brand new 25 x ID custom package. Musically, we struck a balance between modern music trends and classic chart toppers, all whilst staying true to the signature sound of Ö3 that defined the station for so many years. With this selective blend of musical influences as well as state-of-the-art radio imaging, this package was designed to stay relevant for many years to come.

BBC Radio 2, the UK’s most listened to radio station, commissioned Wisebuddah to create its brand-new station sound package. The new package features a live orchestral session recorded at London’s AIR studios with the prestigious BBC Concert Orchestra.
 
Wisebuddah worked in close collaboration with the network’s Pop Hub Station Sound team to create a package that is not only innovative and memorable, but also uses new singers never heard on a UK network. The bespoke package features a range of generic elements, crafted around mood-invoking sounds which range from party vibes to more chilled and relaxed feeling themes, in addition to several show specific themes for the station’s daytime output.

Nostalgie have partnered with Wisebuddah since 2017, and to accompany their 2023 revamp, Play Nostalgie asked our team of composers to produce a host of generic station themes, show themes and new Information Elements.

Featuring a broad range of styles and instrumentation, the package was inspired by some of the station’s favourite classics to modern hits to accompany their varied playlist.

Promoting an 80s-centred Oldie-format, with modern production; the bespoke package features over 40 distinct compositions: including a host of genre and intensity-bridging Transition IDs; Generic Station IDs; a brand-new Information Suite; and 16 bespoke Show Themes, with a mix of Pop and Rock genre inspirations.

German CHR station, Kiss FM in Berlin, have once again entrusted the production of their new station sound to London production company Wisebuddah.
 
Wisebuddah and Kiss FM have now partnered together on the station’s audio branding for over 10 years and the new package marks a modern upgrade on their cool, contemporary sound.
 
The new package retains both the station’s heritage, impactful, Wisebuddah sonic logo and renowned ‘Der Beat Von Berlin’ strapline and is made up of 10 bespoke station IDs, a fresh Morning Show theme, and a new Information Suite.

In 2023 Antenne Bayern asked us to refresh their station sound with a set of updated custom transitions and show openers. The updates feature catchy vocals and atmospheric instrumentation, all tied together with their iconic, heritage, sonic logo.

In 2023, DASDING, the popular youth brand from German public broadcaster SWR, teamed up with Wisebuddah once again for their major station sound rebrand. The package focuses on pushing the boundaries of modern sound design, with huge sounding compositions and imaging designed to create a dynamic and attention-grabbing soundscape. The new sound of DASDING also features a brand-new, modernistic sonic logo.

In 2023, Europe 2 (formerly known as Virgin Radio France) launched a brand-new pop-rock Wisebuddah sound. One of the most listened to radio stations in France; they asked the Wisebuddah team to create an eclectic mix of themes to complement their 90s, 00s and 10s playlist.

Talpa Radio’s brand new radio station XM has launched with a new Wisebuddah jingle package. The new sound is a collaboration between Wisebuddah and the XM Production Team, who post-produced the vocals. The original package was produced by Wisebuddah for Germany’s Planet Radio.
