Raoul Duke arose in Feb. 2007 when guitarist Ramsey Zabout and drummer, Matt Rezetko, met in an Illinois State University Music Business class. After citing Medeski Martin & Wood as influences, Rezetko was approached by Mr. Zabout. It was decided that a jam shall commence as soon as Rezetko fled back to Chicago's South Side to get his drum set from his parents house. The rest is up to you.

Raoul Duke has shared bills with many different acts including Kris Myers (Umphrey's McGee), Michael Glabicki (Rusted Root), Conspirator, Melvin Seals, Garaj Mahal, Future Rock, Leftover Salmon, Lubriphonic, Family Groove Company, Somasphere, Strange Arrangement, Mr. Blotto, Jaik Willis, Chicago Farmer, 56 Hope Road, The Spit Brothers, JazzSteppa, Heyoka, Phaded, The Coop, IndigoSun, and DJ Belly; amongst many others. RD also had a monthly residency at The Kinetic Playground in Chicago on the first Friday of every month in 2011.

Some noteworthy festivals Raoul Duke can be found at include the Strip Mines Music Festival 2008, ISU Square Fest 08, ISU MayDay 07, 08 & 09, Relay for Life Benefit 07 & 08, Funk You Fest 2010 & 2011, Duck Fest 2010, Yalapalooza 2010, Cabin Fever 2011, Freakalb Fest 2011, WhipperSnap Fest 2011, Jammin' on the Wolf Fest 2011, Field Trip Fest 2011, and many more. 

Hot venues Raoul Duke has performed at include: The Portage Theatre, The Shawnee Cave Amphitheatre, The Castle Theatre, The Majestic Theatre, The Kinetic Playground, The Canopy Club, The Abbey Pub, Vision Night Club, The Elbo Room, The House Cafe, Reggie's Music Joint, Goose Island Brewery, The Store, and the Illinois Brewing Company, among others. They were also featured in the June 2010 issue of Relix Magazine.

In September of 2011, Raoul Duke decided to go on hiatus...stay tuned...
