If it’s fortune, fame or females you’re seeking, the WiseGuyz Twins give you a blueprint to follow and a soundtrack to ride to. Self proclaimed playas the WiseGuyz twins are serving up “dope” in prolific proportions. Whether it’s their swag, or spit, or the fact that it all comes in twos, it’s not just their sound that’s addictive. 

While it seems like they’re just starting out, Brooklyn born twin brothers Jamel (Shad) and Jerel (Preach) are here to teach rather than learn. Their new offering “EXPENSIVE” YFF VOL 2 has a more direct sound that is purely unapologetic, gritty, NY hip hop. Slightly deviating from the somewhat melodic sound of their last mixtape YFF VOL 1 which included standout single P.I.M.P. However, both volumes feel more like your old head putting you on to game rather than 20 somethings just breaking onto the scene.

WiseGuyz are nostalgic and current at the same time. Preach “the Pimp” can be found quoting Ice Berg Slim in the streets of New York in his museum. A 1984 Cadillac Coup Deville with red leather interior and white walls. While Shad “Show Time” has been spotted at exclusive events with the industry crowd and wearing Italian and Japanese designers you haven’t heard of yet. 

It’s hard to compare the WiseGuyz to any other artists, sound or style. They were born in Brooklyn, and raised in Hampton, VA. This gave them versatility in sound and style. The WiseGuyz started rapping together at roughly age 14 and were influenced by their older brother Rahkim (Roc Solid) that was a DJ. As well as the drug and fashion culture of the 80s and 90s. Like their flow their style is casual fly. Think diamond Rolexes, gold chains and Styrofoam cups. 

The WiseGuyz have recently been featured in XXL for the second time. Their mixtapes can be found on Datpiff and Sound Cloud and their videos can be found on thisis50.com and YouTube. The WiseGuyz shoot, produce and edit their own videos, just adding to their vast list of talents. Be prepared Y.F.F Young, Fly and Flashy is not just mixtape volumes it’s the movement and EVERYTHING EXPENSIVE is not just a hashtag it’s the mantra and there’s more to come!
