Miss Rissa is a Singer/Songwriter/Poet out of Oxnard, CA. Miss Rissa began writing poetry at the age of 11 and at the age of 12 years old Miss Rissa's poem "The Lady"  dedicated to her mother, was published in her middle schools book of poems. Miss Rissa began singing at the age of 5 years old. Singing church choir, plays and talent shows. Miss Rissa's soulful R&B style is inspired from influences like Etta James, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and Joss stone. She started her music career in 2012 by posting YouTube videos of cover songs and doing her first feature on Rick D - Never Give Up. 2013 she was featured on Wise1's "Clear Mind" EP and in 2014 Miss Rissa began writing her first original Project "The Heart and Soul of Rissa" which was released May 04, 2015, shortly after she started writing her up and coming album. 2016 was a very exciting and productive year for Miss Rissa with working with Chuck D of the rap group Public Enemy on the RapStation Presents: Lite It Up Showcase, recording her album and also being nominated in the best R&B category for the 2016 Ventura County Music Awards where she also presented the Best New Artist award. In 2016 she also started writing her up coming poetry book "A Writers Soul." Miss Rissa's vision and mission is to share what she learns and knows to help others wanting to pursue a career in entertainment. Miss Rissa knows that all her blessings come from God which is why she always keeps God first!

As an artist, I simply hope to inspire. In a perfect world all I hope to do is inspire a budding artist the same way countless others have for me. Music has always been been my favorite medium and as years went on I transitioned into someone who was just a fan into a now willing participant. The music I can relate to the most usually is in the form of Hip-Hop and R&B but I do enjoy other genres as well like Classic Rock, Bachata, and House music.
           As musicians all we can do is try to soak up inspiration from as many artist as possible and in doing so cultivating a style of your own. Artist who have inspired me range from Nas, Kurt Cobain, Jay Z, Mike Shinoda, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and many more. In listening to these artist I believe that I have cultivated a sound that is unique to me. My music contains elements that can be considered Rock and Roll yet still have the lyrical approach as a Rap lyricist with a touch of soul, this is the fine line I am attempting to walk on. In other words music simply is just what I love as well as my passion and hopefully I can one day grow into an artist who's work people can enjoy.

Born and raised in Southern California, growing up in the suburbs; Kris was exposed to different genres that helped mold the type of artist he is now. From country to hip-hop, classical to rock, Kris gained a respect for all form of music. “I started writing and gained a better prospective of my life”- Kris, rookiestadium.blogspot.com. Kris has always used music as an opportunity to create something that could possibly change someone else in a positive way. On one hand, with influences like Gavin DeGraw, Justin Timberlake, Jason Mraz, and Usher, his soulful sound is raw and unique. On the other hand, influences like 2Pac, Jay-z, Eminem, Slick Rick, and many more, have helped him create a way of storytelling that makes you feel like you’ve been a part of whatever emotion he’s singing or spittin’ about. Now running his own label, Product of the People Music, Kris has gathered some of the dopest new artist and together is takin over the music scene. A singer, lyricist, song-writer, producer, and performer, Kris has hit the pavement running (opening up for Bone Thugs, performing for charity events, winning competitions, headlining his own show and much more) and hasn’t stopped yet.
