The tension in the air was wild – some could barely contain their excitement at the thought of such exuberance. The big day was finally here and soon they would all come together to dance and celebrate in the streets as one community.

For some this would be the latest in a long series of extravagant parades yet for others this would be their first carnival.  Soon they’d be greeted with a splendid array of colours and songs the likes they’d never seen or heard before.

The heat beamed down from above for it was the height of summer. It was jam hot.

They’d dance all night long as the sound of trumpets began to echo in the distance as the march began.

Gratts is set to release a new EP on Be Strong Be Free. It features a brilliant cosmic balearic remix from Conrad, half of the magical duo Idjut Boys.

For Viscera 106, we welcome Balam to the series with live recording at Artlab. The recording sees Balam play alongside Pablo Harymbat & Andy Menutti at his own club night, Club del Ritmo.

"Balam is a musician, producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina, focusing on electronic music and world music, combining modular and analog synthesizers with real and weird percussion sounds creating a unique atmosphere making every track an acid and psychedelic voyage through Latin-American nature and culture."

With the above in mind, this has seen Balam's releases land on labels that include Multi Culti, Pets Records, Get Physical, Hard Fist and more, and we're delighted to have him involved for the next mix in the series.

We first got hooked on Tommy Awards back in 2012 from their unreleased collection of tracks on SoundCloud and have been huge fans of theirs ever since.

This ten-track journey seamlessly blends electronic textures, ambient washes, and shoegaze-tinged drones, effortlessly creating atmospheres and hypnotic soundscapes for your soul. DC Promo Tracks: Manakinz "Awrite"

Davin Varda and Buscadora join forces for their debut release, "All the Weather People". This track spawned from a small slice of funkiness, lifted from a well-known 70s Jazz-Fusion act. As it evolves, it's clear that this is not just another re-edit - like a rocket being launched into space, the music starts on the ground, ascends gradually and increases its velocity until it breaks out of the stratosphere.

The track's name was also a guiding clue to another hidden connection - the shamanic techno of Andrew Weatherall. This slow-burning track pulsates with a spiritual chug, drawing inspiration from Weatherall's legacy. Recognising this, Varda and Buscadora decided to release "All the Weather People" ahead of the fourth anniversary of AW's passing - February 17th - honouring his impact on their music and life.

All proceeds from this release will be donated to Standing Together, a grassroots movement mobilizing Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel in pursuit of peace, equality, and social and climate justice.

Legalize Lambada is back and there ain’t no moldy gorgonzola in this Italo homage!

Legendary cosmic captain Albion returns to Lambada-land and starts this edit compilation with “Nucleare”, a robotic jam seasoned with Italian vocals which serves as a great introduction. 
  
Ric Piccolo’s “Disco teacher” on A2 and “Alright” on B1 are serious floor fillers, possibly ready to injure part of the Boston dynamics fleet after inducing uncontrollable dance moves.

At the end it’s Hysteric’s “Moment” on B2 that prompts a soulful side of italo for some deep machine learning.
