Whooping & wallowing in the early hours of a prominent Philly after hours, Leo marked their good graces of the “underground” via a dimly-lit, red kung fu studio turned defining experience that would open up a vastly different world to them.

Leo firmly established a routine of following a series of parties, events, club nights, renegades, house parties, and warehouse raves and within a short time began [sic] in 2016 to meaningfully contribute to the scene that paved the way by hosting artists such as Youandewan, Dana Ruh, Oliver Hafenbauer, Turtle Bugg, Exos, Stefan Goldmann, Huerta, Desert Sound Colony, Barbara Preisinger, Sugar Free, KRN, Ion Ludwig (DJ set), Carl H and many others.

Leo founded Adverse Effects (æ) after a desire to curate more cerebral & visceral stylings of underground music having hosted such acts as Mark Broom, Julia Govor, Juana, Jamaica Suk, and quest?onmarq to keep driving, pounding beats in the hearts & ears of the many Philly heads in nondescript locations via appliance warehouses, auto car garages, and mixed-use office spaces in the heart of the city of Brotherly love. 

Leo is committed to elevating Philadelphia’s underground scene in every shape, form and factor with a boisterous cackle and cracked smile.
