As a relatively fresh face in the Berlin scene, Xpresso Martina (@xpressomartina) has been turning heads and seducing dancefloors with infectious grooves and genre-fluid sets.

Their unique track selection promises a tasteful blend of Synthwave, Italo, New Beat and EBM complemented by cosmic acid basslines and uplifting, progressive House — Effortlessly weaving styles and moods into an atmosphere infused with emotion, evoking feelings of 80s and 90s nostalgia with a modern twist.

Next to holding a residency with EBM and darkwave label Crave Tapes, Xpresso Martina has been running a party series with their Berlin based collective R27.

We have emerged from a little hibernation and are kicking off the new year with a rising talent from the UK: Glotzer!

Raised in Northern Italy and desecrated in East London, Glotzer’s sets span across EBM, Italo, Hi-NRG and landing into Industrial and Techno territories.  Equally obsessed with the new and classic, his dancefloor selections never exclude neon-like basslines with a scent of leather. 

Aspiring to revive the heyday of the Blitz Club and The Backstreet, Glotzer now runs the grotesque cross-genre party and collective Ziber. In between a leather bar, a derelict club, a candy shop and a house party, Ziber has been pinpointed as the ‘hottest new queer night’ in East London.

Blank Wave Guest Mix 037: Glotzer

The first mix of the year - we gladly welcome @yuega, pseudonym used by Nicolò Stefanelli, a Bologna-based (IT) DJ and producer.

He released music on limited-edition DIY tapes.
His music is an updated version of the 80’s electronic experiments, a crossover between the paranoia of the current clubbing scene and the roots of electronic music.

In this mix Yuega delighted us with an obscure and powerful selection of Electro and Industrial tracks.

The Frankfurter jung’ has a huge repertoire of music and influences which he’s constantly sharing for the last 20 years. Starting in early age with Indie, Post Punk and New Wave he soon discovered the joy of electronic club music and started following the path of New Order, Primal Scream and Andrew Weatherall into a new beat driven world. His event and guest mix series Blank Wave is providing international artists like Skelesys, Sharlese, Andi (Synthicide), Moderna, Rotciv and Sugar Rody – just to name a few. WLDV starts its activity in 2012 DJing and creating music based on synthesizers and inspired by the electronic music of the 70s, 80s and early 90s like Italo Disco, EBM, New Beat, Techno… with clear influences of the B movies, sci-fi, horror and fetish stuff.

He released vinyl and cassettes on labels such as Giallo Disco, Bordello A Parigi, Waste Editions, Violette Szabo, Soil Records, Aspecto Humano, Eclectic Reactions, Cold Beats, Fill Lex Records, Infidel bodies, The Hiddens, Patch Records, 4mg Records, Italo Moderni… And many more. 
He also played several live and dj set performances around Europe and North America.

WLDV hosted and played as resident at the Vocoder Club parties from 2014 to 2019 and drives also the label Eclectic Reactions since 2014 together with Radithor.
