Hello my dear friends & visitors: At the end of the day, I am an electric guitar player at heart. And this instrumental version of the great ZZ TOP Rock ballad ‘Rough Boy’ from their 1985 album 'Afterburner' is yet another song project that takes me back to my musical roots. I did the instrument recordings, the creation of the drum tracks (Toontrack EZ Drummer 3), the mixing/mastering and the video production myself. Dear friends & visitors: It is my great pleasure to be able to present Paul Carrack's "How Long" as the first cover song project with my dear musician friends Jimmy Quango (fingerstyle acoustic guitar) and Chris Schaefer (lead vocals). It makes me very happy to work with these amazing musicians and you should definitely check out their YT channel!
The hit single was released in 1975 with his English band Ace. We based our song version on a very listenable live studio recording by Paul Carrack from 2010 and a terrific live recording with Eric Clapton from 2014. I created the drum tracks with Toontrack EZD3. I also took care of the song arrangement, the recording of the other instruments and backing vocals, the mixing/mastering and the video production. Dear friends & visitors: First of all, THIS IS REAL MUSIC RECORDED BY REAL MUSICIANS - and therefore not AI-generated robot music, as we will unfortunately encounter more often in the future. I am pleased to be able to present you with "It's Too Late", from the Carole King album "Tapestry" (1971), an exciting music collaboration! My dear musician friend Chris Schäfer did the Lead Vocals. And the Original has now turned into a Disco-Funk version, which I think comes across as quite groovy. The song arrangement, the instrumentation, the Mixing/Mastering and the video production come from me. Since I also associate George Benson with the Disco-Funk music of the late 70s ("A weekend in L.A."), I’ve tried to play the jazzy-sounding guitar solo in his playing style the best I can. Songs have their own story - and sometimes a surprising continuation of the same. And that also applies to this original song of mine. I am grateful and happy beyond measure that I was able to get Rachelle Amanda https://www.youtube.com/@RachelleAmanda   a singer for my song, who breathed a special expressiveness and emotional depth into the vocal melody and the lyrics. Rachelle: in a way the song was waiting for you to sing it! Compared to the original version, I completely reworked the song in terms of tempo, groove, key, instrumentation and lyrics. But it's still a retro pop ballad like it would have been released in the 70's. Some will find the song cheesy and too shallow. I take it with composure as long as you otherwise like it - Hahaha. I'm looking forward to your opinion on this "longing song" and I'm happy about every comment! With love and passion for music 🎵

Dear friends & visitors: "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is probably one of George Harrison's greatest musical legacies for all guitarists in the world. The song released in 1968 on the Beatles' "White Album" was interpreted in awesome versions by a large number of well-known guitarists. And so I followed his call with my dear musician buddy Horst R. (vocals) from my Live band times. We have used a Backing track based on the TOTO-version (Steve Lukather) of this epic guitar song. I think every guitarist along his own guitar journey will stumble across this iconic song and wonder when the time is right to pay homage to George Harrison with his own rendition. Dear friends & visitors: I'm very happy to present you with Chris Rea's "The Road To Hell" song from 1989, a new music collaboration that I'm doing with my musician buddies Chris Schaefer (vocals)and Johan TT (Bass). I took care of the song arrangement, the drums, various keyboard instruments, the electric guitars, the Mixing/Mastering and the video production. In a frightening way, the original purpose of the lyrics is in a different way more relevant than ever! How can one describe the state of the world today more aptly than with: "Look out world, take a good look what comes down here. You must learn this lesson fast and learn it well! This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway. Oh no, this is the road, this is the road, this is the road to hell"... For this reason, we also chose a black and white format for the video design. Dear friends & visitors: Together with my musician friend Horst (vocals)https://www.youtube.com/@HoPe-Eventmusic , I recorded the song "Now That The Magic Has Gone" from Joe Cocker's Night Calls album (1991/1992). John Miles wrote the song for Joe Cocker and also plays the electric guitar parts in the original recording. I don't know if I adore either of them (R.I.P.) more as a musician. Both have left their mark on rock/pop music history in their own way. If Joe Cocker, the better known of the two, was more the frontman and in the limelight, John Miles (songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist) was a second-tier music giant. In addition to his own songs ("Music"/1976), he was also the band leader for well-known musicians such as Tina Turner and Joe Cocker for many years. Unfortunately, Horst and I didn't manage to make video recordings of the vocals and instruments for this song project. Instead, I created a video to support the lyrics in visual form. Dear friends & visitors: I am very happy and grateful to present you this cover version of "I'll Be Around" by the American vocal band "The Spinners" from 1972! Chris Schaefer sang the lead vocals and significantly influenced the song with his outstanding voice. He also took over some parts of the video production. Many, many thanks also to Rachelle Amanda who with her second lead vocals helped the chorus parts to shine even more. Your voice is like the icing on the cake! Recorded at legendary Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia with the support of their MFSB house band, the Original has that particular Phillysound soul character that was very popular at the time. In addition to the original song, elements of other cover (e.g. by Hall & Oates) and Funk elements have also flowed into our version. I took care of the song arrangement, the recording of the instruments, the Mixing/Mastering and the final video production. In the first half of the 16-bar guitar solo, I was inspired by R&B/Soul/Funk guitarist Johnny Guitar Watson’s (R.I.P.) sound and playing style. And the groove is a bit more funky/R&B like. Chris gave the song a special touch with his voice, which he skillfully escalates in the outro section! Dear friends: Welcome to my SoundCloud-channel!

I'm a songwriter, song arranger, multi-instrumentalist and Mixing/Mastering freak dedicated to home recording and music collaborations. And the guitar is my main instrument. My musical roots go back to the 70s and 80s. In addition to my own songs, I am regularly looking for musical pearls, which I often celebrate with my musician buddies as part of virtual song projects, and thereby dress them in a new musical guise. My musician friends and I do not have financial interests. 

To expand my network of musicians, I'm always looking for new musician friends - mainly singers - who are interested in music collaboration, but who have reached their musical limits on their own and now want to take the next step. If you have an expressive voice, then I can offer you all the other skills and experience you need to get a professional-sounding song project off the ground.
