Arising in 2011 from the Black Country, the birthplace of UK metal itself, God Damn is a mind-fucking chemical reaction of punk, grunge, heavy metal and garage that is somehow stronger and more potent than all of its parts. Already wining support from NME, The Guardian, Artrocker and Radio 1’s Phil Taggart, and supporting Superfood, Wet Nuns, The Wytches and Icarus Line this year, it’s only a matter of time before God Damn inherits the Earth and we all become grateful minions.

‘In Heaven’ is a cover of the theme from David Lynch’s masterpiece Eraserhead that is somehow even more surrealistic than the film, the track showcases lead singer Thom’s eerie intoxicated vocal range before leading into an all out assault of sludge guaranteed to grow beards and drop balls.

While the collegiate powerhouse that is the University of Oxford may seem like an unlikely birthing place for an alt-rock band, here we are. 

Originally, drummer Creamer and vocalist Rachel had bonded over their shared music tastes at university, so when Creamer was looking to form a band after a move to London, Rach was the first person he called.

London’s thriving live music scene provided the perfect backdrop and after finding guitarists Matt and Dan and bassist Guy, the line-up was cemented. 

Following a recording session with producer John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, Funeral for a Friend, Architects, You MeatSix), WOLF CELLAR are planning a year of noise with the release of a new EP, and further recording to flesh out WOLF CELLAR’s first full length record.
