Despite her small stature and humble demeanor, Starr is a passionate
spitfire whose tenacity is reflected in the witty word play of her lyrical content. The Jamaica-native prides herself on being recognized as more than just
another female MC; she is a multi-faceted rapper, songwriter, singer and performer.

Inspired by her favorite artists’ love for storytelling, Starr composes music as an
outlet of self-expression. She draws on her experiences with past relationships
and as a single mother to deliver songs that resonate not just with who she is as a
rapper, but as an artist and a person.

Since the early age of ten, Starr has been writing and recording her own music. With a karaoke machine and a notebook full of rhymes, she set out to pursue her dreams of stardom. As a youth, she performed in local talent shows and as the opening act for several recording artists including Beanie Man, Sean Paul, Dipset, State Property, Papoose, Sacario, and many others.

Starr’s versatile sound is a testament to her ability to produce music that captures
the essence of multiple genres – Reggae, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Rock and Alternative. From composing original songs to covers of music by popular artists such as Drake, Kelly Rowland, and Katy Perry, Starr is constantly challenging her writing skills.

Music is second nature to Starr and she is a strong believer that “if you’re
passionate about something, you should pursue it wholeheartedly.”
