HERZBLUT Recordings is the imprint of über-producer Stephan Bodzin. Its artistic focus is on contemporary techno music refusing any barriers.


Through experiences, we tell our stories, shape our personalities, and build our perception of life.

We thus also become subject to sudden and unpredictable changes of moods and to whims and caprice of life. Like the planet Mercury, we split into two. Our one-half freezes in endless darkness, while the other half glitters with a perfect shade of orange under the rays of our one and only sun. We thus become the Mercurials. We live through different tones of life, swinging from ice to fire.

Certain life experiences evoke certain emotions, and these emotions, at once, push thoughts to the surface - thoughts that puncture our life. An experience thus turns into an anchor that we hold fast and remember forever.

The ceaseless battle that we fight with ourselves, creating this Mercurial cacophony. In the end, it is all about our story that resonates throughout the universe, carving out a piece of art from this formless, anarchic background.

Exploring the connections between techno and all other branches of music, Boundless embodies a multicultural approach that reflects the very nature of the project itself. Ivan Pereira, talented portuguese electronic music producer known for his amazing trance projects (Yestermorrow, Atomizers, Anhk, Techyon, Holophonik, Holographic Brain and Existence), brings his knowledge and skills together with Bárbara Starling, brazilian singer, instrumentalist, composer and multimedia artist to draw frequencies, guidelines to imagination, mixing philosophy with music to question the dynamics of our society. Transpose your boundaries, be Boundless.

Born as a son of a music teacher in 1983, Wolfgang started to take piano lessons at the age of ten and taught himself how to play guitar at the age of 15.

Until he was 16, he predominantly listened to Hip Hop & Reggae. Besides playing guitar and piano, he made his first steps into the world of dj-ing by buying a mixer and two old turntables which he mainly used for scratching instead of trying to create smooth transitions between songs.

However, after experiencing a mind-blasting techno party in the late 90s in Dortmund, he began to focus more and more on listening and mixing electronic dance music. He enjoyed small private techno parties as well as big techno festivals like e.g. the Love Parade, Mayday or Nature One and thus dived deep into the German electronic dance music scene.

After having graduated from university in 2010, he discovered the enormous potential of digital dj-ing and started to use his passion for deep, minimal and tech house to produce his own music which he since then integrates into his dj sets.

Now an established force in contemporary Techno, Mike Bierbach, better known under his stage name Rødhåd is someone who has seriously put in the work. Having cut his teeth DJing as a relatively unnoted (but well loved by those in the know) local in Berlin for 10 years, one could argue that by the time success knocked on his door, he was more than ready for playing the international stage. It was during these 10 years of obscurity when he refined his craft to become the singular DJ he is now. 

Launching his party-series-turned-label Dystopian in 2009 was what truly tipped the ball over for Rødhåd. In a time where the Berlin scene was heavily oversaturated by fluffy, miscellaneous dance music, he & his peers set out to form a platform for real techno. The reception to this was raucous. 

Although he has lauded productions and remixes to his name, DJing is his true forte. Before abandoning his day job as a draftsman in construction “The Red” (as some call him due to his gingered, bearded appearance) was known for playing very long sets in Berlin’s most notorious hideaways. 

With an album, several EPs & remixes for a multitude of different artists under his belt, Rødhåd the producer has received equal praise as Rødhåd the DJ. Dystopian has hosted most of his releases, but in 2018 he founded a new label WSNWG that serves as a home for collaborative productions, excavated in sessions at his East-Berlin studio with his peers such as Lucy, Alex.Do, & Antigone.
